My Mom's Birthday Celebration

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Today was my Mom's birthday, so in honor of her, we went to one of her favorite places to go when we were little, Apple Hill. We spent the day at a gorgeous winery and had a lovely lunch and I know my Mom would have loved it. 

We all had such a great time. She loved lavender and the whole patio was surrounded by lavender and pretty flowers. We even saw a hummingbird right when we got there! It was the perfect way to spend the day.

Then we went over to one of the kids favorite apple orchards at Apple Hill and had apple donuts and apple cider, which was delicious. They have this amazing section for kids and it's like a whole mini village. It's so adorable and the kids love it!

We always like to end her birthday by sending off flowers into the lake for her. The kids love doing it and they actually remembered it from last year, which I thought was really sweet. So this year, they picked pink roses and we put them in the water for my Mom. I hope this will be a tradition that they will look back on with fond memories.

So that's how we spent my Mom's birthday. It was a really lovely day and I'm so very lucky to have spent it with my most favorite people. Hopefully your Monday was awesome too!

Birthday Haul & A Little Blog Update

Hi Guys!

I recently turned 31 and got some lovely birthday presents, as well as had a little too much fun shopping for myself as well. Here's the things I got. All of the items shown in the video are listed in the description box, so if you do see something that you must have, be sure to check there to get the link! 

Also, I have been working countless hours on my blog to make it a little more fresh and user friendly for you guys. I hope you are liking how it's coming along. It's been a bit of a stressful process, because I'm literally such crap at this kind of stuff. Editing, filming, YouTube... no problem. But blogs are just so tricky and time consuming and I know nothing about templates and HTML. So needless to say, I've been frustrated most nights with this darn thing, trying to get it how I want it. It's not perfect, but I do like the progress I've made. And I keep reminding myself to strive for progress, not perfection. I might need that tattooed on my arm to remember.  So I'm currently 3 templates poorer and hopefully that's where it ends for now hahaha!

I've also made it so that you guys can add in your email and every time I have a new post, you will get emailed directly. I know it's tough to keep up with so many people on social media, youtube and blogs nowadays, so I thought that might be a super awesome and easy way for you to get your fix. I would really appreciate it, if you could add that baby in!! You'll see it on the side of this post, underneath my IG feed. Here's a picture just incase :) 

Anyways.... I need to get to bed. But I do hope you enjoy my birthday haul, and I hope you are liking the new design of my blog. I'm happy with how it's turning out.

Fails this Week.......

Hi My Loves!!!

I had a couple of WAH WAH WAH moments this week. I figured I would share them with you as sometimes it's good to share not only the delightful moments in life but the sucky ones too haha :) Gotta keep it real you know!

Here we go.....

#1. FAIL: My poor pathetic little honey cake :(

 I had such high hopes for this cake. Ever since I saw Daisy talking about it on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse a few weeks ago, I've been craving it. I got all the ingredients but kept running out of time to actually make it. So for Jay's birthday on Friday, I figured why not make it??? FAIL!!! It turned out to be a bit crap to be honest. POO ;( I was so sad. Of all the moments for me to make a recipe that wasn't super delicious... it had to be his birthday. Not that he really cared but I did. So yah... a big fat fail to the honey cake. I will not be making that again :( It's not like I overcooked it. The actually texture was really nice, it was just so bland. 

#2. FAIL: I misplaced the birthday candles....

Seriously??? Can my brain be any more scattered? LOL.... I had some candles for Jay's birthday for his special birthday wish. I remember putting them somewhere safe so that I wouldn't lose them. Too bad I can't remember where I actually put them for "safe keeping" :/ Haha!!! Oh you poor sad little brain you. So I lit a big candle and he blew that out instead. :)

#3. FAIL: I think I'm allergic to the Make Up For Ever Holodiam Powder :(

This is so sad. It's weird because the first time I wore it, I was fine but for some reason when I took it off the other night my eyes BURNED for the whole night. The actual eyelid felt cut. I'm wondering if I scraped too rough with the cotton pad and the little glitter pieces scratched the skin?? Either way I've never had that problem with other glitter before so now I'm feeling like I shouldn't wear it again..... decisions decisions...... All I know is that it hurt something fierce and looked pretty sore.

Those are my fails this week haha. How about you guys? Did you have any major or minor fails this week, so I don't feel left out in life?

Happy Birthday Babe!!

Hi My Loves!!!

 Today is Jay's 32nd Birthday!! I hope you have all gone on over to his Facebook Link! and wished him a Happy Birthday :)

This will be our 6th birthday of his, that we will be spending together. We actually met 4 days before his 26th birthday and we spent it together, as we were inseparable from the first time we met :) 

So here is a little post dedicated to my amazing husband. You are my best friend, the best father to our children that I could ever imagine and my forever soul mate. Thank you for being the best husband in the entire universe and making my life more perfect than I could ever imagine. You have shown me what the meaning of love is and I truly appreciate you each and every second. I love you babe and so do our babies :) 

Here's a little trip down memory lane (and boy have there been some great ones).......

Happy Birthday Baby Sistor!!!!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today is my Baby Sistor's birthday!!! My sissy is my best good friend (other than Jay of course). I honestly feel bad for people who don't have sister's because I am so blessed to have her in my life. I don't know what I would do without her! We tell each other everything, giggle at the same stupid stuff and can vent to each other when we are upset and the other just sits there and listens and always knows the perfect thing to say at the end! Sissy's are the best!!!

So here's to you my beautiful Baby Sistor!!!! I love you so very much and I'm so blessed to have you in my life, as well as be in the same place!! I love every minute we spend together :) You've been there for me in all the most important events in my life..... my bridal shower, wedding and birth of our first baby and you will continue to be here for the rest of the amazing events to come. I only hope I can do the same for you.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today would have been my Mom's 54th birthday. As you know, or if you don't know, she passed away 12 years ago from breast cancer..... so it's been a long time since I have actually celebrated her birthday with her. But even though she is no longer here in person, we still celebrate it every year. After all, birthday's are the most special day in a person's life :)

So here is a little birthday blog to my Mommy! Happy Birthday Mom! I love you and miss you every day!

Her favorite flowers were Lily's and Lavender so if she were still here today, this is what I would be giving her a bouquet of.

We picked up this cake from Sam's Club yesterday and will be having it tonight with a cup of tea (decaf for me, don't you worry)... just what she would love. She wasn't really much of a chocolate cake and ice cream kind of person :) But she would love this!

So that's my special day today..... eating some lemon cake for my Mom's birthday :)

Golden Birthday......

Hi My Loves!!!

So it's officially 1 week till my birthday! I only just realized it was my Golden Birthday this year when my friend told me ;) I didn't even know what that was! I will be turning 27 on July 27th... which is when the Olympic's start..... in the country I was born in!! What a coinkidink!!!! Pretty snazzy I think.

How cool is this birthday cake??? If you love MAC, you would love this :) So fun!!!

I feel like this year has gone by so fast already, that my birthday totally snuck up on me. I've been so busy,  I haven't even had time to think about what I wanted. So when Baby Sistor asked me the other day what I wanted for my birthday... I just sat there, blank. That never happens!! LOL. So I have one week to get some ideas of what I want. She's taking me shopping the day of my birthday and letting me pick out some goodies. 

So here's where I need your help. I honestly have no idea what I want....... I'm sure all of you lovely ladies can help me out with some snazzy ideas of what to pick out on my b'day shopping trip.
