August Favorites!!

SO I didn't get too much stuff this month but the things I did get, I love!!!

Rusk Sensories Bright Shampoo and Conditioner.......

Amazing for if you have unwanted brassy or yellow tones in your hair, whether it's a ll over or just highlights, works so great to brighten and remove the yellow. I had some really yellowy pieces in my hair and I used it twice and so far it has really helped! I use both the shampoo and conditioner and just follow the instructions on the back..... you leave them in for maybe 3-5 minutes and then rinse. BUT IT DOES WONDERS!!! I use it once or twice a week until the color gets to the shade of blonde I like :)

It is a little drying to the hair though, so I would recommending using some form of deep conditioner in between uses. I really LOVE the Its a 10 Hair Mask. It smells amazing and makes your hair feel and look like silk. Ususally once a week for about 10 minutes is perfect :)

The next products are for skin. I just started using them and have already noticed a difference! My skin is oily and acne prone and right now have major hormonal break outs on my chin and jawline :( As soon as I started using this I noticed that my pimples were drying up and new ones were way less :)

Plus its organic so thats always nice too and the smells of both of these products are amazing!!!

Kiss My Face Grapefruit & Bergamot Foaming Soap ( also removes eye make up with out the burn ) SMELLS LIKE CITRUS!!! YUM :)

Avalon Organics Balancing Facial Toner (vitamin c)

This stuff smells like orange juice, doesn't burn or irritate my sensitive skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, not tight at all.

For make up I really didnt buy any this month but I did get sent some fabulous products from Physicians Formula. They have there sets out for blue, brown, green and hazel eyes that include coordinating eyeshadows, mascara and cream eyeliners. The colors are so pretty, stay on for a long time and I like to try all the different eyecolor sets cuz they are such beautiful colors :)

This is obviously the one for my eye color, it has beautiful golds, navy blues and light sky blue tones and it makes your eye color really pop!

The concealer that they make is also really lovely to use. It goes on easily and does not settle in the fine lines around your eyes. It's very lightweight and almost disappears into the skin like you haven't got anything on but you look way better LOL! :)

For Bronzer I'm totally loving the Lorac Hot Flash Duo, the pink is such a beautiful shimmery color and the bronzer is the perfect contour shade!!! A little goes a long way too, it's super pigmented!!

SO there are most of my faves this month, I'll have my video up soon so you can see the real deal in person!!!

Thanks so much my loves and hope you all had a fabulous summer!

Super Easy and Yummy Lentil Soup Recipe!

Lentil and Carrot Soup!!!

1 oz 2 tsps butter
1 onion finely chopped
3 to 4 carrots chopped
4 oz lentils (1 cup)
2 stalks of celery chopped
5 cups of water or stock (i like to use vegetable stock)
salt and pepper
1 bay leaf

melt fat in pan, add chopped onions and grated carrot and celery, stir for 3 mins, add lentils cook for a few more minutes, then add water or stock and simmer for about 1 to 2 hrs until lentils are soft. The original recipe said 1/2 an hour but my lentils were not cooked!!!

add milk at the end if its too thick, non fat. I didnt have to do this :)

This is such an easy recipe! ANd so good, my husband absolutely hates lentil soup and he went back for seconds!!! I like it cuz its not all mushy like slop, everything is still in its form and its more like a veggie soup but just with lentils!

Great protein and fiber too if your not really into meat..... like I am right now :)

Hope you like it!
