#WhatsNewWednesday: Spring Home Decor

Hi My Loves!!!

The other day my sister and I went to Target (for what I can't remember now) but it was very nice having a look around at all of the new things. I snapped a few pictures of some of the new home decor they had out. They had some super cute things in there so if you haven't been to Target in a while, then head on over and check it out!!

Here's what made my heart smile :)

My Dad, Aunt and Nanny call me darling, so this was automatically pulling at my heart. I love anything to do with love. That's why we are here... to love one another. So when I saw this, I thought it was so sweet. Maybe something to put over the bed in your master bedroom or even over your kids beds :)

This little nightstand is so chic. White and mirror just goes so well together and I love the criss cross for the legs. $69.99 isn't too bad of a price really. It's pretty darn cute :)

I love these little topiaries (is that what they are called?).... they just remind me of a really snazzy house in L.A. or something. Not that I've ever been to one but that's what I think of.

You guys know my obsession for white. I love the clean, fresh look it gives in the home. These are so perfect for a little pick me up on a table or dresser.

Here's another inspirational canvas. Sometimes we forget to look around at everything beautiful that surrounds us. We get caught up in the daily stresses of life, that we don't stop and take time to smell the roses or see that life is beauty full :)

I thought that this picture was super cute for a child's bedroom. It's so cute and whimsical.

They're newest collection out at Target is so bright and colorful, perfect for adding a pop of color and fun for Spring to your home. I loved this coral storage bench. It just screams Spring!

There's nothing better than walking in your house after a nice Spring day outside and then smelling flowers inside too. These Glade Plug In Lift Off's in White Tea & Magnolia are my current obsession. You NEED to get them. They are limited so if you see them, pick up a bunch. You will not be disappointed! It smells like you have fresh flowers all around your home. I also saw them at Sam's Club too. You got a pack of 6 plus the holder for $9.30. BEST SCENT EVER!

Those are the things I'm loving for Spring for the home right now. If you don't normally shop at Target, you really should go and take a peek. I'm obsessed with Target because ours is never busy so it's an easy place to shop when you have toddlers and they always have the cutest stuff! Plus my red card 5% discount makes it even better.

Thanks so much for reading :)

A MANicure with PaintFab!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today I have some new nail polishes to share with you that just recently launched as a part of Just Fab's website. PaintFab are nail polishes in a sleek bottle with an amazing formula. I got 9 colors ranging from nudes to deep eggplant.

Here are the shades that I have. I love the shape of these polishes. They are so easy to store and don't take up much room at all. They fit into your hand very nicely when painting. They are $5.95 each which I think is actually a very good price for the quality of these polishes. I was really impressed with them.

The brush is really nice to use as well. It holds the perfect amount of polish and doesn't leave anything to streaky. It's not too small or too big.

Let's start with the colors and swatches.

Lass with Sass is a very pale creamy white pink. You definitely need two coats of this to ensure there is no streaking. Maybe even three.

Neutral Territory is a skin colored nude. Perfect for those of you who like a true nude. This one does take at least 2 coats.

Modern Marvels is beautiful. It's that perfect mauve nude. A really beautiful color that has just enough nude but not too skin colored with a nice hint of rose pink. I really love this shade.

Penny For Your Thoughts is amazing. It's a really rich brown with red shimmers. So rich and catches the light beautifully. I love this color. Perfect for those of you who like a dark nail without looking to goth like ;)

Auber-Genius is a dark eggplant with purple and red shimmery tones to it. Another really beautiful, rich shade.

Red Hot Mama is a hot red. Such an awesome color. The red just reminds me of a brand new red porsche or something. It's so nice.

Vixen Fixen is a berry tone. I actually didn't really care for this color. The frosty shimmers in it made it a little flat. It doesn't have the gloss that the other ones have.

Pink Slip Me A Drink is a beautiful hot pink. This is perfect for the Spring and Summer. No shimmers in this one. It reminds me of Barbie ;)

And then to top all of them off, a nice clear top coat. Everyone needs one of those ;)

Overall I was really impressed with these polishes. For the price, the quality is so nice. They went on super easily, glided on nicely and didn't get tacky or gunky. They have a nice gloss to them even without the top coat and the pigmentation of the darker colors were so rich. I only put one coat on all of the dark colors and you could honestly get away with just the one coat. I feel like these won't chip as quickly as well because of the super thin coats that you can get away with because of the pigmentation.

I want to give a huge thanks to Jay for letting me try these out on his beautiful finger nails. He is a great hand model don't you think?

What's your favorite color out of all of them?

Hope you are having a great week so far! Here's my latest video:

#FashionFriday: Chevron & Sparkles

 Hi My Loves!!!

First off sorry about the lack of blog posts this week. My sister moved in with us and so I've been a bit of a blog slacker :) It's been so nice helping her organize her stuff and spend time with her. I couldn't go too long though without posting something for you though, so today I'm doing a #FashionFriday.

For this weeks #FashionFriday I'm featuring a little bit of Chevron. You all know I have my fair share of Chevron, from clothes to home decor. Now I can add shoes to my list :) I just recently ordered these Zia Chevron Flats from JustFab and thought they would be a perfect bit of pizazz to any Spring outfit.

I love black and white. It's so versatile. It can be worn casual or you can dress it up and I love that these add just a little something extra. I'm all about flats too. I find heels so difficult to wear when I'm carrying Lily or chasing after Phoenix. So these are perfect, dressy but still practical.

Here they are on. Don't mind my toe cleavage :)

So if you were on the hunt for some Chevron shoes.... there you go :) I did the searching for you!

I also went to the nail salon with my sister yesterday. She needed a fill so we decided to go and have a little girly salon time, which was so nice. We hardly ever get to do that kind of thing so I took full advantage of the kids nap time. Daddy caught up on some Dexter (his new obsession) while they snoozed and we got our nails all pretty and Springy.

I chose a nice pale pink with chunky pink sparkles over the top. Gel nail polish has become my new obsession. It lasts so long, stays shiny and just looks so nice. I like acrylics but they end up driving me crazy after they grow out after a week, so this is the perfect option for me :) I'm just a short nail kind of girl.

How's everyone's week going? Hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for reading.

Hard Work Pays Off....

Hi My Loves!!!

Today was a very exciting day for me. I had a package delivered to my door. I opened it and to my delight it was the You Tube Silver Play Button. I was so excited!!! It will be 5 years that I have been making You Tube videos this November. I never thought all those years ago, that I would be here writing this blog with this plaque from You Tube. I am so honored. The opportunities that I have been given all from me putting up my first Playboy Makeup Tutorial in 2009, have been such a blessing and I am so thankful to all of you, who have made this possible. Not only am I able to do something that I love everyday, I'm able to stay at home with my babies and watch them grow. It's a dream come true for me. I truly appreciate each and everyone of you who have supported me throughout these years. For everyone who has clicked that SUBSCRIBE button (and if you haven't, you are more than welcome to haha)... this is all because of you! THANK YOU! I feel so special and lucky and honored that I have over 160,000 people that have taken time out of their busy lives to watch me blab :)

It's amazing how one little moment in your life, can change your future drastically. Something I would have never thought of doing myself has now turned into something that is a huge part of my life. It all started when I was at work at the hair salon and my client asked what my hobby was. I had no reply. I stood there. Finally I answered something along the lines of, "I go to work and go home and hang out with my husband." While hanging out with your husband is awesome, I felt like a loser because I didn't have an actual hobby. Nothing that I was super passionate about, or that I was so excited to do when I had free time.

I told Jay when I got home about the question that made me stand there with nothing to say. He told me I should make You Tube videos like the girl Kandee Johnson, who I used to watch. I laughed. There was no way I would make You Tube videos. I had crooked teeth, I didn't want people making fun of me even more than I had my whole school life. It took me months of Jay persuading me to just put one video up. I was so nervous. Who would want to watch me? Jay told me to just film it and put it up and then if I didn't like it, I could always delete it.

I remember sitting there on my Mac Book with the little camera built in to the laptop sitting on the floor in my living room. I figured I would at least try, so I filmed a Playboy makeup tutorial. I was obsessed with Pamela Anderson's makeup back then and Girls Next Door was my favorite show. It took 3 separate videos for me to upload it because back then if you weren't a partner you couldn't have a video longer than 10 minutes. Jay did all of the uploading for me, I had no clue what I was doing. He taught me to use the camera, edit, export etc. I was clueless. I didn't even know how to connect to the internet haha! I remember checking back and seeing 1 view, then 2 views, then 3, 4, 5. I was so excited that people were watching me. I didn't realize they were my own views haha!! But eventually I got 20, then 50 and then 100 and it kept growing and I couldn't believe that people were watching my video and telling me that they likes it. It was really cool. Fast forward years later and I still love to hear all of your sweet comments. It makes what I do rewarding. To know that I help you feel better about yourself, or made you smile, cheered you up in a bad time or just taught you something about makeup.... that is what makes this so amazing.

So again, THANK YOU! Thank you for watching, commenting, subscribing, liking, sharing.... supporting me in all that I do ;) I love you all! You have made my life, something I could have never dreamed of :) I am so blessed and lucky to have such a happy life ;)

We all have our dark moments in life but just remember, life gives to you what you put in. If you put in negative thoughts, negativity will be given right back to you. If you focus on what you want to be and where you want your life to be and happiness and positivity, that's what you will get. It might be tiny little steps or glimpses of happiness but hey, we all have to start somewhere right?
Don't forget...... Hard work pays off ;)

Ok, that's my blabbing for the night. Thank you again!

Thanks for reading & watching.

NEW Hair Before & After....

Hi My Loves!!!

Today is a very exciting day because I finally changed my hair color and I LOVE IT! I am so happy I decided to change it up a bit. I hope you guys like it as much as I do. I'm going to give you a breakdown of what I did in this post with before and after pictures.

You can see below my hair was pretty much one solid color of really bleached blonde. While I love blonde, I had just gotten a little bored with it and it was beginning to look a little un dimensional (is that a word) and washed out on me. I have just been getting highlights for so long now that it was just time for a change.

Before:

After:

I am so happy with how my hair turned out. My delightful friend did it for me and she just used weaved lowlights all underneath (no blonde in the back at all) and then highlights (just the roots) and lowlights on the sides, crown and top.

For the lowlights we used Paul Mitchell 1/2 7WB & 1/2 6G with 20 Volume. The blonde was something she already had, I think it's the Salon Care Prism Lites Lightener from Sally's and she used 30 volume on my roots only. We left the foils in for 30 minutes.

Sometimes you just need a change. If you have been feeling like you are bored with your hair and need to change it up a bit, then just do it! Don't be nervous... it will make you feel so much better :) It was really what I needed to make me love my hair again.

Thanks so much for reading!

#WhatsNewWednesday: Piggy Paint GIVEAWAY!

Hi My Loves!!

Today I have a fun #WhatsNewWednesday featuring Piggy Paint. If you have never heard of Piggy Paint before it's a nail polish designed for kids. These polishes are Non Toxic, Odorless & Kid Friendly.... they are basically Natural as Mud :) I was super excited to try these out when I was asked if I wanted to review them. I haven't painted Lily's nails up until I got these so this was Lily's first time with nail polish. A very snazzy time for Lily, she had so much fun getting her nails painted. We've tried them a few times now and the first time we went with two shades of pink. The second time around she wanted pink & purple on her toes and red on her nails. It was such a fun thing for me to do, sitting with my baby girl painting her nails. It's something every Mom can't wait to do with their daughter and to know that the polish I'm using is so friendly to my little one makes it even better. Phoenix also had fun naming all of the colors and picking out his favorite ones. He ended up wanting his nails painted too, so he chose some manly colors (blue and green)... he loved them!

If you are looking for the longest lasting toddler manicure, this isn't it... but the polish comes in very pretty colors and dries super fast and the kids love it. What I also like is that because it does chip off so quickly (who knew you would like that haha) you don't have to worry about having to use yucky polish removers to get their nail polish off. It just disappears within a few days. The colors really only need one coat as well as they are quite opaque so it's nice that you don't have to spend too much time.

I got all of the colors pictured below. They come in this super cute little box and what I like is that it's simple colors, so it's easy for the kids to recognize the colors. They are all super shimmery except for the orange and light pink. My favorite's are the dark green, blue and hot pink. Such beautiful colors! If you did want to use these on your nails I would definitely suggest using a base coat and top coat as they don't dry shiny and chip quickly.

Here's all the colors on my fingers. How beautiful is that dark green? It's like the Wizard of Oz.

Please excuse the messy paint job, I'm tired haha!

Here's the one that broke ;( Of course it's mine and Lily's favorite color) but isn't that just how the cookie crumbles lol!

The lovely ladies at Piggy Paint have a prize for one lucky winner. One person will win a Glitter Girls Set (seen below). They were also kind enough to give me a coupon code for my readers.
