The Worlds Most Comfortable Flats?

Hi My Loves!!!

A few weeks ago I got my first pair of Tieks. If you are not sure what they are (I hadn't actually heard of them until my trip with Ford to Sedona... SarahFit and Sonia Castaneda were talking about them) they are ballet flats, reinvented. They are basically a flat made of leather (the softest leather I've ever touched) and what's cool about them is that they fold up inside themselves. They come with a little pouch and a foldable tote bag so that if you are going out in heels you can fold these babies up in the cute little pouch, throw them in your purse and then when your feet are killing you from heels, you throw your heels in the tote and slip on these delightful little flats.

I spent forever looking through all of the different colors on the site. They have TONS!!! I counted 56. It was so difficult to decide! I ended up after many times going back and forth between a few different colors, on the Ballerina Pink. I figured they were neutral yet feminine and perfect for the pastel trend for Spring. I can wear these with lots of different colors. There are so many colors ranging from bright, dark, neutral, multicolored.... so many cute ones.

Let's talk about the packaging first. It comes in this gorgeous blue box with a flower on it..... which doubles as a really cute headband for Lily. Score!

They are carefully wrapped in tissue paper and come with a couple of little pamphlets with extra info on Tieks.

This is how they come. Folded up :) You can see how flexible they are. This is how you fold them and store them in the little pouch and then pop them into your purse.

Every Tieks shoe comes with the teal blue strip and sole. If people know what Tieks are, they will instantly know you are wearing them from this :) The backs are cushiony and soft. SO comfortable. They hug your heel like a pillow and do not slip up or rub (unlike the flats I had on earlier that day that left me with a blister)... these are so soft and comfortable. As soon as you slip them on, it's like a slipper. It doesn't even feel like you are wearing a shoe. The actual inside itself has cushion as well so that if you are on your feet a lot, they have a nice amount of bounce to the step, so that your feet don't feel like they are just hitting hard surface. It's just like a hug for your feet.

The blue patches are non skid also, so no slipping around the store floor :)

They don't have half sizes so keep that in mind when ordering. I wear a 7 1/2 and and I rounded up to a size 8. The 8 is like heaven on my feet. You literally feel like you are wearing slippers. Sometimes I forget to take them off when I get home because they are so comfy. I traveled in these last week and walked a lot through the airports and once I got to Yosemite and they were so amazing. These are the perfect shoes for traveling or if you have a lot of walking to do, while still looking cute.

If you have a pair of Tieks, how do you like them? Do you think they are worth the money? I do. The comfort and convenience of these is awesome, they are still stylish, have a huge variety to choose from and I feel like these will last a really long time. It's one of those pieces in your closet that you can keep for years and your feet will thank you. These will be the most comfortable flats you will ever wear.

An Exciting Trip & A Perfect Storm.

Hi My Loves!!!

This week I am traveling again for a very exciting opportunity. I was recently asked if I would like to take a trip to Yosemite National Park with Nokia for a Photo Workshop with the Nokia Lumia 1020. As most of you know who watch us, we are Apple people. I have always had iPhone's since I've been with Jay. My first phone was actually a Nokia years ago (one of those little flip phones) but since I met Jay, it's been all Apple. So when Nokia contacted me, I was intrigued to try out a different phone and to be able to go to Yosemite to try it out was a huge plus :) I used to go to Yosemite all the time growing up. We lived in Tahoe so we went quite a few times and I have such great memories of our family hiking there. So this is a very exciting trip.... my trips back to California always make me feel like I'm back home. To be able to take amazing pictures of  beautiful Yosemite with other social media influencers is such a huge honor :)

Anyway... now you have an idea of what I'm doing this week.... the first day I got my Nokia phone we went for a walk (ended up getting caught in the rain and running like Forrest Gump).... the clouds were so cool, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out the camera on the phone. I was SO impressed. This camera is seriously amazing. It puts the iPhone to shame! I don't even want to take pictures with my iPhone after taking pictures with the Lumia. You literally can NOT take a bad picture. Any way you point... it comes out perfect. I can't even believe you can take that nice of a picture with a phone.

I wanted to share the pictures I capture with all of you so that you can be the judge :) None of these pictures have been retouched, edited, photo shopped etc... I literally took them with the phone, emailed them to myself and put them into this blog. You will be amazed at the quality and color of them :) I sure am. It's also effortless. These were all taken with the normal camera on auto. I didn't touch a thing. I just opened up the camera and snapped the picture.

This is my favorite picture. This tree is so cool.

Haha I love Lily's odd socks.... looking fly Lily Bug. Moo was hitching a ride :)

That evening there was a beautiful sunset. I just love a good sunset ;)

Anyway, I'm sure you will see a lot more beautiful pictures coming up this week. Be sure to follow me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter to follow me along on my trip and see what I capture ;)

Get UNREADY With Me: Bedtime Skincare Routine

Our New Bedding & A Kids Cabana?

Hi My Loves!!

I was grocery shopping at Sam's Club the other day and happened to spot this comforter set. I've actually been eyeing one super similar at Target forever now for $120. I was just going to wait until we actually get on the re painting/trimming of the bedroom until I got it but when I saw this one for only $69 I couldn't resist! It's a King comforter and sham set and the material is WAY softer than the Target one. It's so romantic and you know my obsession with white (yes I know don't be afraid of color... I'm not. I just love white)
So if you have been staring at the one in Target wondering if you should get it or not... go to Sam's, save yourself some money and get something that's way softer. It's seriously sooooo soft. Plus it's super cozy and warm. It feels like you are sleeping in a hotel bed :)

I can't wait to see it once it's all delightful and painted in our bedroom. With new nightstands.... and a new bed haha!! Ok I'm going a little crazy but at least new walls and maybe a couple accent pillows.

There was also some other really cute stuff for great prices at Sam's that I had to share with you (and no Sam's did not pay me to say this or give me any of this stuff haha..)

They had these super soft oversized blankets for $14 in all different colors. Chevron and then this pattern below. I loved this gray one. I ended up not getting it, now I wish I would have!

Here's the other colors and designs that they had ;)

And you know I can't go without looking at kiddy stuff.... How cute is this little kids Cabana?? Haha totally Vegas style. Our weather has been crazy at the moment. It's warm one second, then crazy windy and cold the next... it's not quite sure what's going on but let's hope it makes it's mind up soon so I can start getting fun stuff for the kids to play with outside.

I just love this. It is so adorable. I can just picture Lily and Phoenix laying out with some snacks on here :)

Hope you enjoyed this blog post. SO excited for the warmer weather! I did some yard work today and it felt amazing to be outside in the fresh air soaking up the rays.

Kid Friendly Smoothie Recipe! #MommyMonday

Hi My Loves!!

I've had a couple of people ask what I put in our smoothies to make the kids actually like them haha. Luckily our kids love smoothies. I try to always put some kind of fruit in them because it makes them yummy for them. By keeping the fruit in, you can sneak in veggies if you have picky eaters. This recipe is awesome to start off with because you aren't going crazy with the veggies but still getting a few in :)

WHAT'S IN IT?
 Handful Frozen Strawberries
Handful Frozen Blueberries
1/2 Banana
Baby Carrots
Spinach
English Cucumber
Aloha Powdered Green Juice
Milk

We just recently got the Magic Bullet (we had the baby bullet but it eventually died after years of using it like crazy). We got ours at Target for $50.... if you use your Target red card then you can save your 5% too, so take advantage of that!! The magic bullet is amazing! I love it. It blends everything quickly and effortlessly. What I love is that you can customize each person's smoothie because it comes with 4 drinking cups that you make the smoothie right into. So if you want more veggies in your's and your hubby's/partners and more fruit in the kiddos.... bam you can :) I highly recommend it if you are in need of a blender that doesn't break the bank.

The Aloha powdered green juice is pretty cool too. It's basically green juice put into a dry powder packet, that you can add to water, juice or smoothies, so that you can get those extra green goodies that are so healthy and delightful. There is a huge list of what's in it on the packet. I'll link it below so you can go and take a peek yourself. I don't recommend it in water or juice as it does taste a bit like grass lol.... so add it to your smoothies. That way you can't taste it and neither can the kids and they are getting extra greens in. Pretty snazzy :)

Today I added apples as well to ours and that was super refreshing. Kale is also super yummy. You can always use coconut water, juice, whatever you like. We like ours with milk. It makes it a little creamier :) It's really up to you. Try different things each day and you will find what you love. I just add whatever we have in the house.

Hope that helps for those of you who have been asking ;)

Glossybox Unboxing: March 2014

Hi My Loves!!

Today I'm going to be doing my March Glossybox Unboxing. I just got it a couple of days ago, so I haven't had a chance to try these products out yet other than just a quick sniff and feel :) It came as always, in it's light pink box.

Like always, it has the little pamphlet that has all of the products that are included in your box, as well as a description and price of the full size product.

Alex & Ani Scent 7 Body Mist ~ $18.00
This is a body mist. It's not my cup of tea. It's super strong and the scent is just a little bit too much for me. It's very herbal. This is something that I would never wear. It smells like you've walked into a really strong spa or something. Just a bit too much for me, it's almost got a men's cologne mixed with herbs or something... thumbs down :(

Alterna Haircare Bamboo Volume Pumping Strand Expand ~ $22.00
This is a volumizing, thickening type cream. It smells nice, very natural smelling. I haven't had a chance to try this yet and to be honest sometimes these product don't do too well in my hair because it's already so thick and they end up feeling yucky in my hair. I might just give it to someone who will use it more than me ;)

Nails Inc Brook Street Nail Polish ~ $9.50
This is a perfect color for Spring & Summer. A beautiful coral pink. I actually really like the quality of these polishes. They go on nicely and this color is so pretty! Definitely a thumbs up on this one.

Alex & Ani Charm Bangle ~ $28.00
This bracelet was actually a bonus item. I feel like this makes the whole box. It's a really pretty bangle with a Swan and has a beautiful meaning. It comes with a little description of the meaning of it. Swan = Grace, Partnership & Love. I think it's a super cute idea for a gift for a friend of family member. Thumbs Up for this one too.

Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel ~ $17.80
I love this lip peel. It's more of an exfoliator. You take a small amount and massage it on and around your lips for about a minute. Afterwards, my lips feel a little tingly, super smooth and really soft. It plumps them up a little bit too which is always nice. I really like this lip scrub. It's something I will keep using. Thumbs Up!

Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask ~ $158.00 (Full Size)
I haven't had a chance to try this yet but for $158.00 for the full size product, I'm expecting a miracle ;) I'm really hoping that this makes my skin feel amazing. It's supposed to smooth, plump and brighten. I will keep you updated!!

Okie dokie, so that's everything that came in my box this month. I wish the full size item was something different as the smell for me is just not my thing. I do like the bracelet, polish and lip scrub so overall I'm happy with it. I'm super intrigued about the mask. Let's hope I magically look amazing and young and delightful :)

What did you get in yours this month and did you like everything?
