Nails and Makeup for the New Year!!

Hi My Loves!!!!

I got a chance to paint my nails.... it had been a couple of weeks of me planning to paint them and never getting a chance haha! My toes are bare but hey it's winter :) My current favorite color is mint and this color is so close to my favorite crayon that I color with when Phoenix and I color, so I thought it was perfect!

I used the Maybelline Color Show nail polish in Green With Envy 320 with O.P.I. Teenage Dream on the tips. I've been loving this Sally Hansen nail hardener as well. One of my lovely twitter buddies (thanks Holly) recommended it a while back and I've been using it ever since.  It keeps your nails nice and strong and healthy and woks great as a base.

So there's my nails :) All sparkly and ready for the new year :)

Jay also did a beautiful makeup tutorial for you guys to start off the new year with....
I hope you like it :)

How I Blog.....

Hi My Loves!!!

I love to be nosy sometimes and see what goes on behind the scenes of other beauty bloggers, so I figured if I wonder, then I'm sure others do too.....

Sometimes I blog in the day at nap time and sometimes I blog like this:

Hair still wet from my very fast shower, fresh and clean face and wearing some comfy pjs :) Once my babies are fast asleep, peacefully dreaming..... I sit my booty down with my little side kick Moo, while Jay edits the vlogs.

Not super glamorous but I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Tonight I might even go all out and paint my nails..... Oh I know, I'm wild!!! Haha! I always say that and then it never happens for some reason or another lol.. Question is.... What color am I feeling???

By the time you read this it will be morning or afternoon depending where you are, as I don't post till the next morning. So Good Morning or Good Afternoon! I hope you all have a very lovely Sunday :)

Thanks so much for reading!

Christmas Swap w/TheStyleDiet Makeup Swatches!

Hi My Loves!!!

As most of you know Anna (TheStyleDiet) and I have formed a friendship over the years on you tube. Our babies are also only one day apart (not planned I swear haha).... so it's rather cool that we are going through the same baby stages at the same time :)

Anyway, on to the actual post. This year for Christmas we decided to do a Christmas swap with each other. Basically we just bought gifts for each others families and seeing as they live in Ireland and we live in the US, we sent things to each other that the other couldn't get in their hometown.

Of course I filmed a video showing the goodies that she sent :)

Here is the makeup that Anna picked out for me (great choices my lovely):

Bourjois Effet 3D Gloss Volume & Shine Elixer #46

This is a really glossy dark pink lipgloss with a slight sparkle to it. Smells fruity and has a brush applicator which I love! It puts down a nice amount of color and is so shiny :) I can't wait to use it!

Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trio in 05 Vintage Rose

This is a nice little trio with a highlight shade and then a soft mauve with a sheen and a deep plum. All are shimmery. Great for blue eyes or green eyes. I wore them all today and they looked really pretty for that sultry plum smokey eye. I forgot to put on my normal eye primer so by the end of the day they did have some creasing but still looked nice and true to color. :)

Next is probably my favorite out of the bunch.....

Bourjois blush in 54 Rose

It's a nice combination between a rosy pink and peach and I think it would work really well on a range of skin tones. Nice and pigmented and I love the small packaging which makes it perfect for throwing in your makeup bag or purse :)

Last but certainly not least.....

17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Mulled Wine

I wore this today with the Nyx Deep Red liner underneath and it was very pretty. Just a nice deep red lip, perfect for this time of year. It does have a typical lipstick smell but it stayed on nicely and I love the packaging. I remember buying 17 when I was a teenager and lived in England, miso when I saw this lipstick it brought back memories of being a young teen shopping in Boots with all my girlfriends (fond memories)..... Wow I feel old now! Haha!

So there are the makeup bits and swatches as promised. Typical me forgot to take a picture of my makeup for the day, but I did wear all of these items today other than the lip gloss and I loved them all.

A HUGE thank you to Anna and Jonathan for sending such lovely gifts :) I really appreciate it so much love and I hope you like yours as much as I love mine :) I'm so glad we have become such good friends!! Your the bomb diggity dog :)

Here's a list of what I'm wearing in the video:

Misscha BB Boomer
Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation in Light 46 w/ F88
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Fair w/ P88
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in Sunny w/ F40

Our Christmas 2012 in Pictures!

Hi My Loves!!!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. Ours was perfect... spending the morning watching how excited Phoenix was for his pressies and then spending the afternoon with the rest of my family. I thought I would share some of the pictures with you that we snapped. Even though we did vlog it, sometimes it's fun to look at pictures too :)

I hope I don't overwhelm you with pictures... it was so hard to choose, we took sooooooo many! Here are a few of my favorites :)

We picked up a Gingerbread house kit from Walfart and unfortunately it was all broken into bits. Luckily Jay is a creative little fellow and decided to make a chair, table and rug for Santa haha :)

Here is our masterpiece! He did the structure and we all helped decorate :)

We set out cookies and milk for Santa... and some carrots for the reindeer :)

Here's a little collage I made for my Christmas Eve blog post. They were all festive in their jammies.

Jay snapped this right as I was about to pick Lily up..... she was just gazing into my eyes.
So beautiful :)

We got them a new Christmas book to read before bed, so we snapped a few pictures of them before they opened it. What a good big brother Phoenix is.... he's so sweet to her!

I love their faces in this one! Haha... Lil looks nervous!

Now you'll have to excuse the fact that Jay looks drunk in this picture (he wasn't... he didn't have anything to drink but water haha)..... I just got him in the middle of a blink/talk but look how cute Lily is with her little tongue!!!! Haha, she cracks me up :)

I must say, trying to get a picture where everyone is looking at the camera is tough!

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!! Phoenix opening his play kitchen from Jay and I. His little girlfriend has one and every time we go to her house he runs over to it, so now he has his own :)

His beloved vacuum...
 "Waldo Jr"

Playing with his new blender with Daddy.

My beautiful little princes!

Lily playing on her new exercise mat from Santa.

Haha his little smurk!!

All set up and ready to cook!

BS opening her stocking and Moo waiting for a treat.....

Grandpa & Grandma got Phoenix an Innotab 2S :)

What's a Christmas without a good old game of blowing the maltesers up in the air and catching them in your mouth?

He LOVES his new car from Uncle Brad & Auntie Tamara!

And at the end of the night we got some shots of the babies in front of the tree in their festive little outfits :)

Lily's was from my Aunt who lives in England... isn't it cute?

Loving the new bean bags from Santa!!!

And another stop to play in the kitchen... toast anyone?

I was so busy all day I didn't get a chance to put makeup on or do my hair but I still wanted to get some pictures with my babies.

I'm sad we didn't get one of all four of us on Christmas but at least we have our family Christmas photo.

I live for my little family. As long as I have them, I have everything I could ever wish for :)
What a perfect Christmas it was!

And incase you missed what else the babies got, as far as clothes go.....

Breastfeeding and typing with the other hand....
