#ThrowbackThursday: My Baby Boy....

Hi My Loves!!!

Today's #ThrowbackThursday is very special to me because it's all about my little angel. My first baby and my best little buddy, Phoenix. I'm writing this on Wednesday but by the time you read this, it will be Phoenix's 3rd Birthday! I can't believe it. Three years have gone by since our lives changed forever and we welcomed the biggest blessing we could ever experience. I am so in love with my little man, I can't even describe my love for him. He's so special, loving, caring, sweet. He is always there to make me smile when I need it, tell me I'm beautiful when I feel ugly and tell me he loves me at the perfect time. He's just my best little guy. He told me yesterday, "Mommy, you look so beautiful, you are my best friend." He melts my heart daily ;)

So here is a few pictures over the last 3 years of Phoenix's life, starting with his very first picture.

Best feeling in the world after waiting 9 long months to meet your child. It's an instant love that can never be broken.

Here he is eating his favorite treat on his 2nd birthday. Chocolate covered strawberries are a hit in our house. How cheeky is that look haha!!

Phoenix loves shopping and loves trying on sunglasses... these looked really good ;)

How beautiful of a little face can you get?

Can't forget him on his Uncle Rob's motorcycle. He had so much fun sitting on this and getting his picture taken this Summer.

It's amazing how fast they grow up. It does not feel like three years have gone by. I just try to soak in each moment with my babies because I know before long they will be grown up and hanging out with their friends and no longer telling me I'm their best friend (I hope they still do but you never know).... It makes me tear up :( 

So here is a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my amazing little boy Phoenix.

  You have brought me joy & love each and every single day. You have filled my heart with more love than I could ever imagine and made me smile even when I didn't think I could. You make me feel so special and you've made me a better person. Thank you for changing my life and teaching me patience, everlasting love and making me the happiest Mama in the world. I love you so very much and hope I make you feel as loved as you make me feel. You are sweet, smart, loving, caring and happy. Your smile melts my heart and you are the best son I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for being the best big brother to Lily and making your Daddy and I so proud.

Best Perfume I've Ever Sniffed!!!

Hi My Loves!!!

I got my Ulta catalog for September in the mail today which is always an exciting moment for me because it includes samples of perfume and my $3.50 coupon haha! I knew as soon as I sniffed this sample of Marc Jacobs "Honey" ($92.50 for 3.4oz) that I had to tell you guys about it and it instantly went on my wish list.

Here's the sample I got in my Ulta catalog :) I must have sniffed it about 20 times and Phoenix sniffed it about 10, saying "Oh nice babe!"

Here's what Sephora says about the perfume:

 Here's what I say about the perfume:

The scent of this is like heaven. It's feminine, subtle, sweet and floral at the same time. This is one of those scents you just can't stop sniffing and I MUST HAVE IT!! It's literally the best perfume I may have ever sniffed in my life and I've sniffed a lot! This is definitely on my MUST PURCHASE SOON list. I highly recommend the next time you are at Ulta or Sephora, get a sample or just go and have a sniffy wiffy :) Let me know how you like it. If you do have it, how does it wear? Is it one of the delightful ones that stay smelling amazing all day long?

I just had to share this with you because it is the best scent ever!

Flashback Friday: Baby Face :)

Hi My Loves!!!

I love a good Flashback Friday so here we go. I thought it would be cute to share some baby pictures. 

Here's my brother and I when we were little, taking a bath. I'm guessing I was 3 and he was maybe 1 1/2 or so? We look like we are having a great time!

Here's my little angel at about 11 months old. Just a tad older than Lily is now :) They almost have the exact same teeth! Phoenix has a lot more hair though haha!! Look at those baby blues!

And here's my little Lily bug as a newborn. This was the first day that we brought her home from the hospital. So tiny and sweet :) They grow up too fast! I can't believe it's been 10 months since I had her already. Before I know it, she will be 1!!!

There's a peek into our past :) I'm going to try and find some baby pictures of Jay soon. I know we have some hiding somewhere. We've moved so much over the years that I forget where our old photo albums are. I'm going to add that to my to do list!!

Me & My Lily Bug in Long Beach!

Hi My Loves!!!

I have more pictures for you today from our Long Beach trip. I hope you aren't getting sick of all the pictures but we just took so many!

Jay was filming my outfit of the day this day while we were in Long Beach after the aquarium. There was a gorgeous lighthouse and the ocean was all around, it was so pretty there! Jay snapped a few really cute pictures of Lily and I and also managed to get some nice ones of me too. I very rarely like pictures of myself and so when I saw these ones I was rather excited haha! Even my Dad asked for me to print one out and frame it for him and the last time that happened was for my senior pictures so I was pretty excited that he wanted a picture of me haha! Does that sound weird??? I suppose every girl, young or old wants their Dad to think they are pretty. I tell Jay all the time to make sure he tells Lily she's beautiful all the time :) Women like to hear those words you know! Men like to hear that they are handsome or buff too haha! Although I always tell Phoenix he's beautiful as well..... he is :)

How do you like Lily's little tuffs of hair blowing in the wind? So cute!

Here is the city behind me. The couple behind me asked Jay is he could tak their picture after they saw him taking mine. They were so sweet ;)

Some days look like this.....

Hi My Loves!!!

Here was our day today. We didn't do much. We went to play group and had lots of fun playing with our friends. We had lunch. We took naps..... and then we played around on photo booth for a long time :) We sent video messages to Daddy so he could be in on the fun while he was at work. We took funny pictures together and some of Lil too. These are the days I love the most. Watching my little man giggle his little heart out because he thinks he looks funny. It's amazing that even at 2, he knows that that is a funny face.

Some might think my life is rather routine or dull. Though we do have a pretty routined day for the most part, there is never a dull moment when you have kids. Our life is full of beautiful moments and fabulous surprises because each day Phoenix comes up with something new to do or say and Lily laughs just a little longer or smiles just a little bigger :) This is what life is about. Beautiful moments that create memories that I will cherish forever. The most simple things often create the most happy and memorable experiences.

Being a mom is the best thing I have ever experienced and I truly love every second I get to spend with my angels :)
