First Impressions: Jewelmint!

Hi My Loves!!

I have never gotten anything from Jewelmint before, so when these arrived in the mail the other day I was so impressed with how beautiful and elegantly they were packaged. I thought that it was just way too cute not to share.

They come in a very soft green (the colors are not true in these pictures as I took them at night) and black box with a lovely little black ribbon tied around. It's so chic and I will definitely be keeping the boxes (they are sturdy) to keep bits and bobs of jewelry or makeup in.

These are the Tough Love Rings. They are to be worn either on your pinky finger or as a knuckle ring. I thought this was a very unique idea and something fun that I don't have any of!

One is shown when you first open the box, the other is waiting in the little velvet bag for you to open ;)

I also got the Petit Couer Cherie Set which is a soft green heart on a very fine gold chain with purple heart earrings. The chain is very delicate which I love, however it is 18" long so it does hit me right at my boob crack (you know how I hate when that happens haha)..... So I wore it over a black turtle neck and it was so cute! Perfect length and the color was so pretty against the black. Next time I'll try it over a nice crew neck t shirt ;) I love the length of the earrings, very sweet and simple but still elegant. I don't know if I will wear these together, as I'm kind of a matchy matchy person and like to have my colors on my neck match my earrings but we shall see ;) I will definitely be wearing them separately.

All in all I was so delightfully surprised by the super cute packaging, super sturdy boxes and beautiful jewelry :)

Hope you like this post!

Thanks for reading & Happy Sunday!

A Love Note on Cupcakes......

Hi My Loves!!!

Sometimes life gets so busy that you don't tell the people you love, that you appreciate them enough or thank them for working so hard. We are all totally guilty of it. You go through the day doing your normal routine, whether you are a stay at home Mommy like me or you go to work. You get so caught up with (in my case) taking care of your little one, cleaning, laundry, running errands, cooking etc.... that by the end of the day, you are tired and the last thing you think of when your hubby/partner gets home is.... I need to remember to thank them for working so hard and letting them know that I appreciate them!

I try to make a conscious effort to let Jay know how much I appreciate him and how thankful I am that he works so hard for our little family. He does the same to me, letting me know how great of a job I'm doing with our little angel. That is one of the little things that keep a marriage happy.

I made these cupcakes for Jay today (I'm writing this at night) and decided to write a little note on them so that when he got home, he would smell the delightful smell of cupcakes as he walked through the door and would see our little note. So that he would be reminded once again, how much we love and appreciate him.

Growing up, our family didn't really say I LOVE YOU very much to each other and when my Mom passed away, I wished I would have said it more to her.... but we just weren't raised with it being said so freely. After my Mom passed, I always said to myself that when I had a husband and a family of my own, those would be words that were said all the time... not just on cards, on holidays or Valentines day. It's never too late to start saying those 3 special words to the people that are so very special to you.

So whether you are married, engaged, dating or still live at home with your parents/grandparents etc.... don't forget to let them know how much you love them and appreciate all that they do for you. A simple THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU makes all the difference to their hectic day :) Cupcakes don't hurt either (unless they are on a diet..then maybe not a good idea, you don't want to make them cry haha)

Hope you have an amazing weekend filled with lots of love and cupcakes :)

Thanks so much for reading!

Garage Sale Finds!

Hi My Loves!!!

The lovely part about warmer weather, is that it means there are garage sales!! Since we were little, my sister and I have been going to garage sales and finding treasures :) My Mom used to take us on the weekends and give us a certain amount of money to spend on whatever we wanted... we loved it, it was so fun and made us feel so grown up! Today, as grown ups, we still love going and finding a good deal :)

Here are a the things that BS found :) Isn't this such a cute sweater? It was only $2!

BS also found this Eddie Bauer vest for $1.

This is my favorite! She found this Carolyn Taylor sweater for only $1.50! It's so soft and cozy and super cute on!

I found this... I wasn't so lucky with clothes, but I did find a body spray from Avon. It's the Banana & Coconut Milk. I normally wouldn't go for anything with a banana scent in it but this reminds me of summer, as it smells just like tanning oil :) Tropical vacation in my mind..... here I come! BS got the Pomegranate Mango one (I forgot to take a picture of hers)...

This was not from a garage sale but it came in the mail from a family member of ours in Scotland. It was so creative, I had to share with you! This is her wedding invitation!!! Isn't it so cute?? I love how creative it is, a little message in a bottle! I wish I would have thought of this when Jay and I got married! Too cute not to share! I LOVE THIS IDEA!!

A pretty random post today but I hope it either inspires you to check out your local garage sales and find some goodies or a creative way to invite your loved ones to your wedding ;)

Thanks for reading!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far and if you found some good deals garage sale shopping too, then cool beans!

Yummy Food Alert!!!

Hi My Loves!!!

As you know, if you have been reading or watching for a while, I'm originally from England and I talk about English foods every now and then. Well this last couple of weeks has been super exciting in the English food department! I have found 3 of my favorite yummies at regular grocery stores like Walmart and Albertsons! Normally I have to go to World Market (where the same foods are a tad more expensive) and they don't carry Weetabix at our local store.

I thought I would share with you, the ones that I have found that hopefully you can find too :)

Here's my goodies!

These are my most favorite cookies ever! McVities Milk Chocolate Digestives Biscuits. They are basically a wheat cookie on the bottom and milk chocolate on top. YUM!! These are a very typical English biscuit (cookie) and most people, if not everyone who has grown up in the UK has had one before.

I used to have to get them at World Market, so I rarely got them. When I was in Walmart this week, I couldn't believe when they were sitting on the top shelf just calling my name! They must have just started carrying them because I've never seen them before. I'm pretty sure they were under $2.00 too!!!

Next is another Walmart find. I'm pretty sure this is fairly new to being sold at Walmart. Normally I find it at World Market. It's our favorite curry sauce. Patak's Simmer Sauce Tikka Masala Curry. It's got such great flavor, makes a super quick and easy dinner and isn't too spicy for the weak sauce people like me, who can't take too much spice in their life :)

Last but not least is my very favorite breakfast cereal. When I saw Jofus from LeFloofTV on youtube talking about it a while back, I instantly got a craving for it. Our World Market has never carried it before, so the only way for me to get it would be to order it online.... so I went without. However, the pregnancy craving for a specific food is much harder to forget than a craving when you're not preggy, so I decided to go on a Weetabix hunt. Luckily, I found some at Albertson's! It's so yummy and good for you too! I eat mine with cold milk like you would any other cereal.

It looks rather boring and a bit like hamster bedding but trust me, it's good! :)

Thanks for reading!

Hope you can find these goodies at your local stores too. If you do, let me know how you like them :)

Have a great Saturday!!!
