Sam's Chicken Spaghetti Soup!

Hi My Loves!!

We got a rotisserie chicken and had some left over breast meat that I wanted to use up, so I decided to make some homemade Chicken Noodle Soup :) I normally don't like chicken noodle soup but this one turned out so yummy! We all loved it!

I told you guys on facebook, if it turned out I would post the recipe so here you go :)

INGREDIENTS:
2-3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 White Onion Diced
3 Cloves of Garlic Minced
6 Organic Peeled Carrots (Cut in Half Length Wise and then in 1/2 inch pieces)
6 Celery Stalks (Cut in Half Length Wise and then in 1/2 inch pieces)
5 Cans (about 10 cups) of Swanson Low Sodium Chicken Broth
4 Cups of Water ( I added this after I added the spaghetti... just keep an eye on it, it depends on how much broth you want)
Rotisserie Chicken Breasts (I used both breasts and just tore them into bits with my fingers, I like them more natural feeling, than cubed)
Thin Spaghetti (I broke mine into 3 inch pieces, they were a bit long so I would go with 1 inch pieces)
Parsley (to taste)
Basil (to taste)
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Any kind of cheese to grate over the top when it's ready to serve ( I used Cabots Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Get a nice big pot and put your olive oil in :)
2. Dice your onions and add to pot and put on medium heat
3. Chop your carrots and add to pot (keep stirring your onions and carrots in between the next steps)
4. Mince your garlic and add to pot and cook all the ingredients so far on medium high heat for about 5-10 minutes or until onions are transparent
5. Chop Celery and add to pot
6. Add chicken broth and parsley, basil, salt and pepper.
7. Add chicken and stir
8. Bring to a boil and cover it and let sit for about 10-15 minutes on medium to high heat.... you want to make sure the celery and carrots are soft and not all crunchy :)
9. Bring heat down to low/medium, give it a stir every now and then and put the lid on and wait ;)
10. About 10-15 minutes before you are ready to serve, add your spaghetti or any other pasta you like and when it's al dente, you are done!! WOOHOO!!

I started cooking mine at 5pm.... When Jay got home from work I added the pasta while he got his comfy's on etc..... and then BS came over and we ate at 7pm. So all together the soup took about 2 hours to make ;) Obviously you don't have to leave it that long, you just want to make sure all the veggies are cooked and not hard any more ;) But I find with soup's that the longer it sits, the better it tastes. Serve with some warm french bread and you have a super yummy meal that wasn't too hard to make ;) It was sooooo yummy and super filling too :) Normally I hate chicken noodle soup, but I loved this one.... I know exactly what kind of chicken was put into it, not all those nasty chunks of chicken that you don't know where it came from, they are all slimy and sick.... YUCK! :/

Hope you like my recipe!

If you do make it, please let me know how it turns out and post a picture on my facebook page :)

Thanks for reading!!

Happy Saturday!

FOTD & OOTD: All About Navy!

Hi My Loves!!

This is one of my favorite makeup looks to do on myself. Because I have very rounded eyes, this smudgy kind of extreme cat eye really elongates my eyes and I love the way it looks. The colors are also really great for any time of year and any skin tone/eye color. I've done this on my sister before and it looks beautiful too ;)

Watch the tutorial here:

As far as my outfit goes, it's quite simple and casual. Just a grocery store kinda outfit ;)

My Favorite Mascaras!

Snazzy Nude Pumps: Worth The Pain???

 Hi My Loves!!!

This weekend I finally got a chance to wear my Nude Pumps that I bought in the sale a few months ago from JC Penney's. As soon as I saw them I fell in love with them and they were such a great price I had to get them. I have always wanted a pair like this but never found any that were a good price or exactly what I wanted.

This weekend we did go out to dinner, it wasn't a date night but we went with a friend and I figured..... What the heck, I'm going to wear them! I think because of the outfit I was wearing them with, it made them a little more casual and perfect for the occasion.

But.... there was a problem! THEY ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! If you are a stay at home Mommy like me, then you will know, we don't get many chances to wear such snazzy shoes like this. I got them for that odd occasion for when Jay and I go on a date night or out to dinner.

When I first put them on, they squeezed the dilly dang dooley out of my toes, maybe the sizing was wrong but when I tried them on, the next size up made my heel come out when I walked..... so I figured I would go with the ones I got. I have some tall boots that have a good size stiletto heel with a platform at the base and those are a dream to wear, easy to walk in, comfortable and I can walk just fine and dandy. NOT THESE PUMPS!!! To walk in them more than a few steps, kills my feet and I'm sure that I looked ridiculous walking. Picture a drunk penguin that needs to go to the bathroom. I'm sure that's what I looked like. It's not that I can't walk in heels, it's just they hurt so bad that every step was so painful! Haha!

I guess my feet are just way too used to slippers & flats!

Needless to say, I won't be wearing these again!! Hopefully they fit my sister :)

Anyway, here is what I wore, evil pumps and all :)

They are just sooooo cute!!!!

The makeup I was wearing was my peach & copper makeup that I posted a few days ago, incase you are wondering :)

Watch it here:

My lovely little baby bump :)

OOTD:
Cream Top: Marshalls
Tan Sweater: Gap
MEK Denim Jeans: Buckle
City Streets Nude Pumps: JC Penney's
Leopard Infinity Scarf: Express

Moral of the story is:
Trying to be snazzy in my sexy nude pumps is not worth the pain (for me)! I'll stick to my fabulous wedges that still give me height but I can actually walk in them and feel comfortable and not look like a complete freaknuts while walking.

Thanks so much for reading!

If you are a slipper wearing Mommy, let me know so we can be slipper wearing Mommy's together!!!

And if you are a high heel wearing snazzy wazzy, props to you!!!

Have a great day!

Spring is Here: Soft Purples & Bold Pink Lips!

Hi My Loves!!

Spring is here and I am so ready for it (even though it's still cold where we are)......
Spring is one of my favorite seasons with all of the beautiful flowers blooming and birds chirping. This makeup look was inspired by the flowers my Mom used to have in our garden when I was little. She was an amazing gardener (not like me) and I used to love helping her with all the flowers.

My favorite were the pink snapdragons (I loved making their mouths open) and the light purple pansies. They were all over our garden.

Watch the tutorial here:

*FACE*
Estee Lauder Double Wear in Sand
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Under Eye Concealer in Fair
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in Sunny
Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush in Flaunt
Lorac Perfectly Lit in Luminous

*EYES*
Mac Paint Bare Canvas
Mac Lingering
Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow Quad The Dream Sequence
Maybelline XXL Pro Extensions

*LIPS*
BH Cosmetics Waterproof Lip liner in Raspberry
Mac Dazzleglass in Funtabulous

*BRUSHES*

I was trying to find a cute dress to go with my makeup look but every dress I found that had the colors, was a bit too busy for my liking. I did find these ones though! I love how feminine and pretty they are. I used to wear strapless dresses all the time but I don't think it would be so safe to wear now that I have a baby and another on the way :) My boob might pop out to say hello to everyone, while holding my little man :) It's still super cute though!!

I love how the shoulder on this one is. It's dressy yet casual. I love the color and how it's kind of grecian goddess like.

This is one of my favorite colors for the spring. I'm actually wearing the same color pj top as I write this! LOL.....
Now if I could just have her hair length (yes, I'm totally regretting cutting it, like I always do)

Thanks for reading/watching!

What's your favorite season and why?

Happy Spring!!!
