My Trip with #WarriorsInPink to NYC!

Hi My Loves!!!

If you watch our daily vlogs then you will know that I took a trip to New York this week with Ford Warriors In Pink. I am one of 20 Models of Courage they picked, to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer and breast health. Ford held a press event on the roof top of the Nomad hotel and asked if I could come. I was honored to be there with 6 other models of courage (all amazing women) to be able to talk with journalists of some major magazines. NYC was so amazing! It was a very quick trip but I enjoyed the city so much and even had a little tourist time at the Statue of Liberty! Here's some of my pictures that I captured while I was there. These were all taken with my Nokia Lumia 1020, incase you are wondering ;)

First day I wore the Warrior on Your Side Tee that can be found at FordCares.com (I model it one the site) LINK. You can snazz it up with a cute belt, some skinny pants and jewelry :)

One of my first New York experiences was a New York cab. They look so different than any others I've seen. It's rather crazy riding in them. I don't think I could drive in NYC. It's hectic to say the least. I have so much respect for people who drive there haha!

We drove by Radio City and I luckily got this cool picture.

We drove by Central Park which was absolutely beautiful. I wish we would have had more time to walk through it and see it more but just driving by was so pretty and green.

We ate at Candle 79 which is a vegan restaurant. It was so delicious. I had the Black Bean Burger with polenta fries and it was so yummy! I highly recommend eating there if you are vegetarian or vegan or just like that kind of food. I also had the Fountain of Youth smoothie, which had acai and banana. YUM!

A little tourist time is always good ;) Here's me standing in front of the very far away Statue of Liberty.

We got on a Ferry to head over to the Statue of Liberty and this is the view of the city as you pull away. So amazing.

I love this picture. The sky is so cool and I love the flag with the buildings in the background. Quite artsy if you ask me haha!

This is Tracie. She is one of the models of courage as well. She's so awesome. We had so much fun. I'm so lucky to get to hang out with such strong, inspiring women with such touching stories.

This is the first picture I got up close of the Statue. It's so much greener than I expected. It may sound weird but it's just so vibrant in real life haha!

Me trying to take a selfie in front of the statue and not realizing I only had the base haha!

Then I realized.....

A few of the other models of courage and I posing :) Such sweet ladies!

Here's another selfie attempt :)

We had a quick stop at Ellis island but ran out of time, so we couldn't explore.

We ended the day with an amazing dinner at Lulu & Me, where I had a yummy pistachio pesto pasta. Looking out at the city at night with all the lights is so beautiful. I love this picture.

The final day was the press event. It was held at the Nomad rooftop and they did a beautiful job with the tent. It looked like a wedding. Seeing as there was a lot of press and editors from Glamour, In Style etc... I decided to go with a more business casual outfit for the day. I finished it off with the Kaleidoscope of Hope scarf and a hot pink belt for my Warriors in Pink touch :)

Inside of the tent, they had set up tables with beautiful centerpieces and candles. Each journalist had a look book of the 2014 apparel as well as the bio's of all the Models of Courage.

Each of the tables had a reserved spot for the Models of Courage and this was my table :)

How beautiful is this tent? They made it so elegant. It looked like a fancy wedding. The food was delicious and the decor was gorgeous.

Ford had some statistics for everyone to look at, talking about breast health and driving the conversation.

Be sure to check them out on their social sites and follow them! Tell them I sent you :)

They had a nice display of the 2014 apparel. It's all so cute and comfy. I own all of the pieces and they are all so nice. What's even better is that 100% of net proceeds goes to 1 of 4 charities of your choice at check out on fordcares.com. The blue long sleeve hoodie is one of my favorite pieces. It is so soft!

The lovely Tracy modeling the Inspire & Love Hoodie like a mannequin :)

More of the apparel. They do have mens items as well.

Here's my outfit in better lighting ;)

Almost all of the models of courage that were invited to this event. Camari was getting an interview I think.

Last but not least is the amazing Halibut that I had for lunch at the Nomad. This was the yummiest halibut I've ever had (other than good ol' fish and chips in England of course)... it was so delicious with a smoky bacon flavoring. YUMMY!

If you haven't seen the other pictures I took there, be sure to take a peek at my Instagram.

Don't forget to check out my daily vlogs while I was there!
