#FlashbackFriday: Sibling Love & Bangs Galore

 Hi My Loves!!

It's time for a #FlashbackFriday. I was looking through my pictures from when I was in England and took pictures of pictures my Nanny had in her photo albums and figured seeing as it was Friday I'd share :) So here you go. Get ready for lots of bangs and cheesy sibling pictures.

A note I wrote to my Nanny when I was little.

For Christmas one year my neighbor made me this cloak. I felt like a queen or something :) Check out those terribly short bangs hahaha!

This was 7th grade I think. Tickle me Elmo was super cool back then. I was so excited that I finally got one. My teddy vest was pretty stylish haha :)

Fast forward a few years to when I got Moo!! How cute was she? She was super tiny. I think she was about 10 weeks old here. Her coloring was darker back then. As she got older her hair got lighter. She was the cutest puppy I'd ever seen. Still is ;)

A Break From The Rain!

Hi My Loves!!!

It rained all day yesterday and it's supposed to rain the next few days as week, so this morning there was a break in the rain and we took full advantage of the sun coming out for the short while it did. We headed to walk around Tallac Historic Site and it was so gorgeous! We got some really cute pictures while we were there so I thought I would share :) Every time we go out for walks, I'm blown away with how beautiful Tahoe is and how I went so long not living here. I am appreciating it so much more than I ever have. Watching the kids run around the trees and playing in the sand on the beach just warms my heart and puts the biggest smile on my face.

 Baldwin Estates Tallac Museum is so pretty and the kids had so much fun exploring around.

I loved this little well (I think that's what it is haha)… the wrought iron looks like a heart.

Throwback Thursday: Prom, Hair & Moo as a Pup!

Hi My Loves!!!

I haven't done a Throwback Thursday for a while and I just love these kind of blog posts. It's so fun to peek into people's past.... so have a little peek into mine ;)

This was my school picture from 10th grade. I had just turned 15, we had just moved back from England after my Mom passing and this was before I gained a bunch of weight and got crazy acne. There really aren't many pictures of me for about 2 years after this one haha!! I remember my Dad trying to take pictures of me for family outings etc and I would run away as fast as possible so that I wouldn't have to feel worse about myself. Funny how dramatic things are when you are a teenager :)

Here's me at Prom my senior year. By senior year I had some of the weight I had gained from my sophomore and junior year. I had bleach blonde hair with red on the bottom, a super dark tan (I worked at the tanning salon and went everyday) and my neighbor from when I was young bought my prom dress for me. It was from Macy's and I loved it. It made me feel so pretty. I went with my boyfriend at the time. It was a pretty crappy prom but I felt good in my dress so it was ok :)

Had to throw one of my sister in here haha! Look at her hair! She had asked me to put a bunch of tiny little braids in it. We were at Ernie's Christmas party in Tahoe and she wanted to look special haha!! 

Here's me when I was 23. This was my last day of work at the hair salon before Jay and I moved to Hawaii. My boss threw me a going away party and I had a fresh lei (is that how you spell it?)... I wore it all day and it really got me excited to leave for a new adventure. I loved my hair this color. It was so shiny and healthy. It made my eyes look really blue but my blonde roots came in after 2 weeks and would look like I had grey hair that need a touch up. I still loved it though ;) 

Last one is of my little Moo :) This was when I first got her at 9 weeks old. She was so tiny and the cutest little thing in the world. How can you not love that face!! She was my first baby and it's crazy to think that 9 years later, she is now running around playing with Phoenix and Lily. Crazy how time flies....

My 2yr Old Photographer!

Hi My Loves!!!

Phoenix has been quite the photographer lately. He's been quite the vlogger as well. ANy chance that he has to snap some pictures or videos he takes haha! I thought I'd share a few of the ones that you could tell what they were that he took today :)

You'll notice Moo is usually the subject of his photos.... and Lil too, but mostly Moo!

Lily was rocking the mismatch pj's tonight. I have no idea where the matching pieces to those pj's went haha!

Here's one I snapped tonight. Phoenix was holding Lily's hand and it was so precious. Clean, fresh pj's and snuggling with each other! So cute! Look at their eyes... both the same color. They actually look so alike in this picture. It's so fun seeing Lily grow and start to look so much like Phoenix :)

Doggie Cake Recipe!

Hi My Loves!!!

Moo turned 9 the other day and we celebrated by making her a dog friendly birthday cake :) I promised I would post you the recipe I used, so here you go! She really loved this cake..... us not so much haha! It was a bit bland and natural tasting ;)

INGREDIENTS:

CAKE:

* 1/4 cup vegetable oil

* 1/4 cup shredded carrots

* 1 tsp vanilla

* 1/3 cup honey

* 1 cup flour

* 1 egg

* 1/4 cup peanut butter

* 1 tsp baking soda

FROSTING:

* 1/2 block of cream cheese

* 1/4 cup honey

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)

Mix together flour and baking soda and add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour all of it into an 8 inch round cake pan sprayed with a nonstick spray, and leave in the oven for 30 minutes.

For frosting just mix the two ingredients together so it's a frosting type texture.

Once it's done, take it out, let it cool and then frost :) I added sliced bananas on top too, spelling out her name.

DONE!!! Easy peasy lemon squeezy :)

Look Who Went To The Salon........

Hi My Loves!!!

It was salon time this week.... no not me, MOOSHIE WOOSH!!!!! It was that time again to go and get some pampering and snazzyfying in for her. I think she actually really hates the groomers... I suppose I would too, if I was a dog???

Here she is, all pretty and soft :) She also has a big poof on her tail but I couldn't get a picture of it because for some reason she's deathly afraid of my camera.... I think she thinks it's something evil to torture her with haha!!! This is all I could get!
