#ThrowbackThursday: My Baby Boy....

Hi My Loves!!!

Today's #ThrowbackThursday is very special to me because it's all about my little angel. My first baby and my best little buddy, Phoenix. I'm writing this on Wednesday but by the time you read this, it will be Phoenix's 3rd Birthday! I can't believe it. Three years have gone by since our lives changed forever and we welcomed the biggest blessing we could ever experience. I am so in love with my little man, I can't even describe my love for him. He's so special, loving, caring, sweet. He is always there to make me smile when I need it, tell me I'm beautiful when I feel ugly and tell me he loves me at the perfect time. He's just my best little guy. He told me yesterday, "Mommy, you look so beautiful, you are my best friend." He melts my heart daily ;)

So here is a few pictures over the last 3 years of Phoenix's life, starting with his very first picture.

How cute is that little smile?

Best feeling in the world after waiting 9 long months to meet your child. It's an instant love that can never be broken.

Here he is at 10 months old on Christmas :)

Just having a conversation on the "phone" :)

Baby's First Christmas!

He's the best big brother to Lily. He loves her so much!

My little angel baby!!

Here he is eating his favorite treat on his 2nd birthday. Chocolate covered strawberries are a hit in our house. How cheeky is that look haha!!

Phoenix loves shopping and loves trying on sunglasses... these looked really good ;)

How beautiful of a little face can you get?

Can't forget him on his Uncle Rob's motorcycle. He had so much fun sitting on this and getting his picture taken this Summer.

It's amazing how fast they grow up. It does not feel like three years have gone by. I just try to soak in each moment with my babies because I know before long they will be grown up and hanging out with their friends and no longer telling me I'm their best friend (I hope they still do but you never know).... It makes me tear up :(

So here is a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my amazing little boy Phoenix.
You have brought me joy & love each and every single day. You have filled my heart with more love than I could ever imagine and made me smile even when I didn't think I could. You make me feel so special and you've made me a better person. Thank you for changing my life and teaching me patience, everlasting love and making me the happiest Mama in the world. I love you so very much and hope I make you feel as loved as you make me feel. You are sweet, smart, loving, caring and happy. Your smile melts my heart and you are the best son I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for being the best big brother to Lily and making your Daddy and I so proud.
We love you!
Love, Mommy, Daddy, Lily & Moo

#WhatsNewWednesday: Mirabella LA LA Lips Red Velvet Pencil!

Hi My Loves!!

It's time for another #WhatsNewWednesday and today I'm featuring a new lip crayon that I fell IN LOVE with this week. Seeing as it's almost Valentine's Day, I figured this would be a perfect product to feature :)

The lip crayon is the Mirabella LA LA Lips in Red Velvet. You can see me wearing it below.

This was instant love for me. The texture is amazingly creamy, so pigmented and smells like milk chocolate. It's a very opaque coverage with a really nice satin finish. This is seriously such a great product. They have five shades to choose from (I have three of them). While these are pricey, you don't need much when you are applying them as they are crazy pigmented and they last a long time before you need to reapply. I wore mine for about 5 or 6 hours before I would have needed a touch up and they were still nice and red, just not quite as dark.

The packaging is nice. It's basically like a fat lip liner. The color is on the end so you know what it is without having to take the lid off. The lid is a nice gunmetal top and this is very lightweight.

The color is printed right on the side which is nice because you don't have to squint to see what it is ;)

The tip is big enough to fill in a lot of space but small enough to get into the knitty gritty spots around the edges.

This is just one very light swipe of the pencil. So dark, a rich dark red and so creamy.

I will have a haul showing the other colors I got out of the LA LA Lips collection as well as some other goodies too. If you haven't tried these, I highly recommend picking one up! This is such a nice lip crayon!! You won't be disappointed. What I also love about it, is that once you apply it, it kind of sets and then stays in place really well without sneaking into your lip cracks or fine lines. Plus it doesn't get all over my teeth (HUGE PLUS).... Yah, it's pretty much awesome!

Get yours HERE!

Let me know if you get one, how you like it!

Thanks so much for reading and here is my latest video:

*DEAL ALERT* A Girl's Necessities & V'Day Nail Art!

Hi My Loves!!!

It's that time of year again… Love is in the air :) It's Valentine's Day and today I have a nail tutorial for you that is cutesy enough for Valentine's Day but still perfect for any occasion. Target is currently having a promotion (only Target stores are having this deal) where if you buy any 3 U by Kotex products you receive a FREE Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish of your choice. If you go into the end cap display near the feminine hygiene section. They have the U by Kotex products as well a few of the polishes to pick from. I ended up going to the actual nail polish section to pick out more shades. This promotion ends Feb 22nd so if you are in need of tampons, pads etc, then hurry while you can get free polish :)

Here's what the shelf display at my Target looked like.

Mermaids Tail looked super pretty!

Here's what I ended up buying. I have actually used up a bottle of the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Hardener before and loved it so I picked up some more of that as my base. I've currently been painting my toe nails without a base coat and they have some serious staining going on from red polishes! I also picked up 2 of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes (one free with my Kotex goodies) and then I picked up the Sally Hansen Super Shine Top Coat. I just ran out of mine and when doing nail art it's always good to have a top coat.

1.) First step is to apply your base coat.

2.) Apply 2 coats of the 220 Arm Candy.

3.) On the second to last pinky toe apply the 120 Golden Rule. I only used 1 coat of this.

Now I forgot I was doing this step, so just apply the glitter polish alone, not over the nail art haha!

4.) Using the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Blanc draw the top half of a heart as if you were applying a french tip on all of the toes but the glitter toe.

5.) Apply little dots with the Pen in Magenta along the edges of the white heart tops. Make the center one the biggest.

6.) Follow with the top coat and you have a fun Valentine's twist on a French Tip :)

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope you all enjoy your Valentine's Day…. after all, "Love is all you need!"

#WhatsNewWednesday: Glossybox January 2014 Unboxing!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today I'm doing my second #WhatsNewWednesday and I'm featuring the January 2014 Glossybox. If you are not aware of Glossybox, it's a monthly subscription Beauty Box that costs $21/month. You get it every month delivered to your door with 5 luxury beauty products :)

GET YOURS HERE: GLOSSYBOX

I'm going to do an Unboxing of this months box. Below is the outer packaging. Cute right?

Then you get a really pale pink box with the Glossybox emblem on the front.

The packaging is so pretty. Inside is a card that has all of the products inside of the box, a quick explanation of what each one does and the price of the full size product.

So here's the card and what's included in mine. As soon as I saw that Beauty Blender and cleanser I didn't even care what else was in the box haha! I need a new one so bad, you guys know I'm obsessed with mine and it just got a huge whole in the bottom, so this was PERFECT!! I haven't tried the cleanser yet either so I'm so excited to try it, as I've been using the kids baby shampoo to clean mine. In this month's box I received 2 full size products and 3 travel sized products.

Here's what it looks like inside.

Ok so the first thing is the Tony & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturizing Spray. This retails for $14.99 for the full size and this size is 2.5 oz. It has a really nice scent. Very fresh and clean and beachy. I haven't tried this yet but I can't wait to try this on my natural wavy hair.

Next is the Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash. The full size of this retails for $14.00. The size below is 1.7 oz. This smells amazing. Do you know when you go to the spa to get a massage and the oil they rub on you just smells relaxing and like it's really going to sooth you? That's what this smells like. I love the smell and can't wait to try this out.

YES!! The BEST part of the box. My beloved Beauty Blender and Blendercleanser. I am SOOOOO in love with the Beauty Blender. I use it every time I use foundation and concealer and it's seriously the best thing I ever bought. I love it that much, so this is so awesome! If you haven't tried the Beauty Blender yet, just get this box to get this and call the other goodies I nice surprise because I think I paid $19 just for the Beauty Blender at Sephora alone.

Also in the box is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream. The full size of this retails for $31.00. This cream below is 0.5 oz. This cream is for sensitive, dry skin. It's a 48 hour hydration with Thermal water and hyaluronic acid. The scent is quite strong. It's not a bad scent but it is noticeable so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to scents. It's a rather rich, perfumed scent. It's lightweight, yet very hydrating. It doesn't feel greasy or too thick on the skin and absorbs very fast leaving a glow to the skin without looking like you smeared vaseline on your face :) My skin is oily so it's probably not going to work for me. Sometimes I like to just keep this type of things in my purse as a hand cream.

Last but not least is the other full sized item in the box. This is the Bella Pierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush and it retails for $20.00. It's a really beautiful peach, rose bronzer. It's got a nice shimmer to it and I can't wait to try this on and see the glow it gives me. It's very silky.

Overall I'm really impressed with this box. The Beauty Blender & Mineral Blush alone are worth $39.95 so basically you are paying for the Blush and getting everything else for free which is a great deal. The shipping is free which is also really nice because paying for shipping is never fun :)

Seeing the Beauty Blender was the highlight of this box for sure! They also have a promotion going on at the moment that gives you a free lipstick with purchase. SEE BELOW for code :)

There will also be a giveaway in the beginning of March so keep your eye out for that :)

Hope this has helped make your decision easier.

Doggy Cupcake Recipe! Happy 10th Birthday Moo :)

Hi My Loves!!!

Today was my little Moo's 10th Birthday. I can't believe I have already had her for 10 years! It's so crazy how fast time flies. We had a little birthday party for her today so I decided to make some doggy friendly cupcakes for her and our doggy friends ;)

Before we get started on the recipe I just had to share this picture of Moo when she was a puppy. She was the cutest puppy I had ever seen. Isn't she so precious?

And 10 years later she's still the cutest doggy I've ever seen ;)

Now onto the recipe. Here's what I used. I just got the recipe from HERE and did cupcakes instead of a single cake and left out the vanilla.

1 egg
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4  cup oil
1/3 cup honey
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Combine the egg, peanut butter, oil and honey in a large bowl, blend well. Stir in the carrots and mix thoroughly. Add flour and baking soda and fold into the carrot mixture. Spoon cake batter into cupcake baking cups.

3. Bake in preheated over for 20 minutes. Remove and let cool completely.

4. Once cooled grab your dogs favorite dog treat, add peanut butter to the back and place on the top of the cupcake.

That's it ;) Let your doggy enjoy! Moo and all the other doggies loved their cupcakes and so did the horses, donkeys and mini horse :)

Here's how they turned out. The heart treats are from Target by Woof. They are carob which the dogs LOVED!!

So Happy Birthday to my very first baby. I love my Moo so much. She's the best dog I could ever ask for and I'm so glad I have been able to have her through all of the exciting adventures in my life :)

Hope your doggies enjoy these as much as Moo did!

Happy Friday! Hope you all have a great weekend.
