October 2014 Glossybox Unboxing!

Hi My Loves!!!

I have a Glossybox Unboxing for you and this one was a great box! I was so excited when I saw what was inside :) I wanted to make a small note that might not matter to anyone, but they have slightly changed the shape of the box. The edges used to be a little more rounded and now it's got super sharp edges. Not sharp as in it will cut you but it's just a little less rounded than it used to be.

There's a couple of pretty high end brands in this months box and those are the ones I am most excited about ;)

#1. Vince Camuto Amore Perfume (Full size $78.00)
This perfume's bottle is so elegant and feminine. I love it. The box is really cute too :) It's a soft floral scent with a touch a sweetness and spicy all at the same time. I absolutely love this scent! It's so girly. This would work for Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring. It's just a classic. THUMBS UP!

#2. Proganix Volume Root Bost Finish & Body Builder (Full size $11.99)
I used this root lift this morning and it's actually really awesome. I didn't have high hopes for it because most root lifts are so sticky feeling and make me feel like I have tons of hairspray in my hair. This is lightweight, but gave me great volume. It didn't feeling sticky or stiff when I was blowdrying. It had a good grip to the brush when I was blowdrying but it wasn't too much. This also made my roots super shiny (I just sprayed it at the roots) and my hair smelled really nice all day. Jay even commented about how nice it smelled. THUMBS UP!

#3. Tarte Lip Surgence Power Pigment ~ Flush $24.00
Let's talk about the packaging on this. It is so cute! Colorful & fun :) This is a lip crayon that claims to be a lip treatment and lip color into one. It glides on smoothly, leaves a pretty precise line considering it's bigger size and feels nice on the lips. The finish is nice too. Not sticky at all and leaves a nice sheen to the lips. It also has a mint scent to it. This looks more pink in the pictures but in real life it's more of a pink/red mixture. It's nice because it doesn't feel super thick or gunky on the lips. I'm hoping this won't get all over my Invisalign. I'll keep you updated on that ;) THUMBS UP!

#4. Nails Inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat $10.00
I have shellac at the moment so I probably won't be using this. I actually don't really like the matte nail polish because I feel like the texture would feel weird, so this one is not for me. I might try it on my toes and see how I like it but I always say I'll try something and then it ends up sitting there forever. THUMBS DOWN!

#5. Sesha Skin Therapy Botanical Hydro Mask $9.00
This is an anti-inflammatory mask that has cucumber fruit, marigold & green tea in it. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds nice. I actually have so many masks that I end up never using because I'm always afraid my sensitive, acne prone skin will break out. I will probably save this for a friend or family member. THUMBS DOWN!

Okie dokie. So there's my First Impressions on this month's glossy box. 3 out of 5 thumbs up is pretty good. I'm really happy with the first 3 products and I feel like those are the main ones of the box anyway. I'm really glad they included perfume because now I know that next time I want to buy a perfume, that will be the one to get ;) Or if I see it cheap at TJ Maxx… I'll pick it up haha!

How did you like your box this month?

Glossybox Unboxing: February 2014

Hi My Loves!!!

Today I'm going to do my February Glossybox Unboxing. It came the other day, so I technically got it in March but that's ok :) The winner has been chosen for my Glossybox Giveaway from last week, I have contacted her and am waiting on a reply. Thank you so much to everyone who entered!

Lets get on with the Unboxing :)

Like always it comes in a cute light pink box. I actually use these boxes for makeup storage because they are really sturdy and the perfect size, so if you have been throwing them away, don't!!! They are awesome for storage (says the box hoarder)...

A cute little card with a heart for the month of Love...

Here's what it looks like once you open it up.

The card has everything listed on it that's inside the box with the price of the full size product and a description of what the product is for.

Lauren B Beauty Nail Polish ~ City of Angels $18.00
This polish is such a beautiful pale pink. This was my favorite thing this month. It's so pale it's almost like wearing a white nail polish but it's much easier to pull off and has that really pretty tint of pink. It goes on really easily and I tried it on two of my nails with one coat and one coat looked good. It doesn't get streaky or thick. Plus the packaging is pretty :)

Anatomicals Puffy the Eye Bag Slayer $11.00 for 3
This is an eye patch that you put on for 30 minutes. Let's be honest guys, I'm probably never going to use this because for me I'm not going to sit there still for 30 minutes waiting for a eye patch to work. It seems like so much time. I'm not sure if they stay on by themselves if you sit up straight or if it's something you have to wear lying down. If it was 5 or 10 maybe but 30 minutes? That's too much!

Renu Extra Firming Lip and Eye Active Lift $49.00 (Full Size)
This is actually a really nice eye and lip cream. It's nice and thin so it absorbs really quickly and doesn't feel or look greasy or thick. It feels really nice on the skin. I like the packaging too because it's kind of different for an eye cream. I don't like when things are too thick that I feel like I can't put my makeup on over the top and this doesn't feel like that would happen. I'll keep using it and keep you updated. This is a deluxe sample size by the way :)

Pureology Serious Colour Care Color Fanatic $24.00 (Full Size)
Another deluxe sample size and this one is for the hair. I've tried Pureology a few times and remembered liking it. I haven't actually tried this one yet but I did smell it and it smells really nice. This might be perfect to save for when I travel and don't want to bring my normal sized products. I'm assuming it's along the lines of the It's a 10.

Sumita Beauty Kala Color Intense Pencil $15.00
This eyeliner is so nice! It's super smooth, creamy and pigmented. You barely need to press and get a rich, black color. Once it sets it doesn't budge. You can not smear or smudge this liner. It stays really well. I haven't tried it in my water line yet but I plan to... let's hope it holds up as well in there as it does on regular skin :)

There is my Unboxing this month. Hope you enjoyed :) I would say 4 out of 5 products I am excited about and the eye patches are a flop for me. So 4 out of 5 is pretty good ;)

#WhatsNewWednesday: Glossybox January 2014 Unboxing!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today I'm doing my second #WhatsNewWednesday and I'm featuring the January 2014 Glossybox. If you are not aware of Glossybox, it's a monthly subscription Beauty Box that costs $21/month. You get it every month delivered to your door with 5 luxury beauty products :)

GET YOURS HERE: GLOSSYBOX

I'm going to do an Unboxing of this months box. Below is the outer packaging. Cute right?

Then you get a really pale pink box with the Glossybox emblem on the front.

The packaging is so pretty. Inside is a card that has all of the products inside of the box, a quick explanation of what each one does and the price of the full size product.

So here's the card and what's included in mine. As soon as I saw that Beauty Blender and cleanser I didn't even care what else was in the box haha! I need a new one so bad, you guys know I'm obsessed with mine and it just got a huge whole in the bottom, so this was PERFECT!! I haven't tried the cleanser yet either so I'm so excited to try it, as I've been using the kids baby shampoo to clean mine. In this month's box I received 2 full size products and 3 travel sized products.

Here's what it looks like inside.

Ok so the first thing is the Tony & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturizing Spray. This retails for $14.99 for the full size and this size is 2.5 oz. It has a really nice scent. Very fresh and clean and beachy. I haven't tried this yet but I can't wait to try this on my natural wavy hair.

Next is the Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash. The full size of this retails for $14.00. The size below is 1.7 oz. This smells amazing. Do you know when you go to the spa to get a massage and the oil they rub on you just smells relaxing and like it's really going to sooth you? That's what this smells like. I love the smell and can't wait to try this out.

YES!! The BEST part of the box. My beloved Beauty Blender and Blendercleanser. I am SOOOOO in love with the Beauty Blender. I use it every time I use foundation and concealer and it's seriously the best thing I ever bought. I love it that much, so this is so awesome! If you haven't tried the Beauty Blender yet, just get this box to get this and call the other goodies I nice surprise because I think I paid $19 just for the Beauty Blender at Sephora alone.

Also in the box is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream. The full size of this retails for $31.00. This cream below is 0.5 oz. This cream is for sensitive, dry skin. It's a 48 hour hydration with Thermal water and hyaluronic acid. The scent is quite strong. It's not a bad scent but it is noticeable so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to scents. It's a rather rich, perfumed scent. It's lightweight, yet very hydrating. It doesn't feel greasy or too thick on the skin and absorbs very fast leaving a glow to the skin without looking like you smeared vaseline on your face :) My skin is oily so it's probably not going to work for me. Sometimes I like to just keep this type of things in my purse as a hand cream.

Last but not least is the other full sized item in the box. This is the Bella Pierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush and it retails for $20.00. It's a really beautiful peach, rose bronzer. It's got a nice shimmer to it and I can't wait to try this on and see the glow it gives me. It's very silky.

Overall I'm really impressed with this box. The Beauty Blender & Mineral Blush alone are worth $39.95 so basically you are paying for the Blush and getting everything else for free which is a great deal. The shipping is free which is also really nice because paying for shipping is never fun :)

Seeing the Beauty Blender was the highlight of this box for sure! They also have a promotion going on at the moment that gives you a free lipstick with purchase. SEE BELOW for code :)

There will also be a giveaway in the beginning of March so keep your eye out for that :)

Hope this has helped make your decision easier.

Thanks for reading!

January 2013 Glossybox!

Hi My Loves!!!

I got January's Glossybox which is called The Man Repeller. This is my first Glossybox ever so I was really excited to see what was inside ;) It came in very cute packaging so I had a great first impression right off the bat. Inside was a silver box (very sturdy) with The Man Repeller written on it. I must say they really put a lot of attention to detail into the packaging and I think that shows a lot about a company. After all, girls like things to look nice ;)

These are a monthly subscription... you pay $21 a month (free shipping) and each month you get new product samples to try out. FUN!!!
Get yours here:

Before I go on to show you what was in it and what I think about each products.... I have to say I was really impressed with this. I don't know if each month is as good as this one but if it is cool beans because I feel like for $21 the products I got were a decent size and then the full size lipstick is fab! I think it would be close to that price alone just for the lipstick. I'm very excited about it :)

How cute is the packaging??? I was just so excited opening it. I felt so snazzy :)

So here's all the products lined up. Full size OPI nail polish and Tarte lipstick and then sample size of perfume and serum and I would say the mascara and mattifying serum are travel size. Pretty good amount of things :)

First thing I want to talk about is the Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 hours Lipstick in Fierce (retails for $26.00)
This lipstick is a super bright red, super pigmented, a slight undertone of orange. It feels really nice to apply and stays really well throughout the day. The finish isn't too glossy either. It has a nice sheen but doens't feel like it's going to slide all over the place. I would beware if you have a tad yellowish teeth as this shade could make them appear a little more yellow but I feel like it is a definite wearable red and I really love it. The packing is cute but a tad big and bulky for carrying around if you use a small clutch but luckily it fits just fine in my big old diaper bag :)

It transfers ALOT!!!! Haha! Had to do the kiss test with Jay and I think he might have ended up with more than I had on my lips :) How do you like it?

Next is the Sebastian Potion 9 Wearable Styling Treatment. 1.7 oz. I haven't had a chance to use this in my hair yet but I did test out the scent and consistency of it. It smells so delicious!! LOVE THE SMELL!!! The consistency is like a thick serum, it's not too sticky, feels nice and slippery and I'm feeling like it's really going to be nice in the hair to use before blow drying. I can't wait to try. I'll let you know how I like it.

Next is the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara. I feel like this is a good every day mascara. You can apply to coats of it rather quickly, it gives decent lashes without being too clumpy and it doesn't have any fall out throughout the day. I feel like it gave me more length over volume. I wouldn't use it for a real dramatic eyelash kind of day though as it doens't make them look WOW!!! For me it's ok. Perfect for when I'm just wearing minimal makeup and I don't want to spend a lot of time on my lashes.

I've worn this all week and just reapplied it tonight for these pictures. It's the OPI Liquid Sand "Can't Let Go" nail polish. This stuff is strange! It's a great purple color with the texture of sand, with big chunks of glitter in it. Now I did have a chance to wear it all week and see how it lasted. I would say the durability of it is a little tougher thank regular polish. Because it is so thick it almost gives your nails a shellac or fake nail type look. It's easy to apply and very pretty. It does take a little bit of getting used to though. It feels very rough to touch and you don't use a top coat with it so if you like the feeling of a shiny, smooth nail polish... this won't be for you. It does catch and snag on diapers and hair, so keep that in mind Mom's!! Haha!! It has a matte finish and I wish it had a glossy finish. I'm just really all about gloss and shine. I've never really been a matte kind of person but that's just me.

Here it is with one coat.

2 coats, no top coat. You can see how chunky it is. Very pretty but I can't say I love it. It looks cool but I don't really like the feel of it. I feel like I just have sand all over my nails and I want to wash it off.

The next thing is a sample of day lotion. I haven't tried it yet so I have no idea what it's like.

Narciso..... my long lost love. This is actually one of my all time favorite perfumes. I used to have it a while ago and ran out and never bought any more. It's amazing. A very strong scent... spicy, rather sophisticated. I feel like this isn't a scent that everybody loves. It's almost like a love it or hate it type perfume. I for one happen to LOVE it. It just makes me feel powerful and sexy when I wear it. LOVE!

I didn't try this out for a whole day but I did just test it out on my face to see what it felt like. It feels a bit tacky at first when you apply it but soon dried to a matte finish. Absorbs very quickly and feels great to wear. The scent is on the more natural side. Nothing too strong. I currently don't really have an oil problem so I can't say if it works but I'll save it just incase my hormones go wacky and decide to revert back to being oily like it was before I had babies :)

Ok there you have it, my back is officially killing me... I feel like quasi modo (spelling) and I'm tired so off to bed for me!!!
