Hi My Loves!!!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend! I sure did!!! Baby Sistor and I went shopping last week to pick up some last minute Halloween goodies and we had so much fun! I love my BS :) 

So come on a shopping tour with us and see what we saw.....

First stop was The Icing. I haven't been in that store for so long! We were having so much fun... I felt like a teeny bopper again :) Glasses anyone????

I LOVE IT!!!

Here's what BS picked up from Icing. I love that bracelet with her skin color!! So pretty! No luck on the Halloween department but these were too cute to resist!

I was eyeing the Marilyn Monroe goodies..... love me some Marilyn. I didn't get anything but they were very cute!

These skinny jeans were at Wet Seal. I love the Damask pattern on them. The scarf was in Icing. The little giraffes are so cute. I liked how lightweight it was.

Then we headed over to Victoria's Secret (BS's favorite store) because she was trying to find some ruffly pink undies to go under her costume (no luck)..... I love these hoodies!! SO CUTE! Love all the sequins going on in VS right now. Then of course we had to go and have a sniffy around the smelly section :)

Those were my favorite scents!!! YUM! Plus that oil makes you glisten like a goddess and smell like a delightful flower :)

So now you have been virtual shopping with us..... did you have fun?? Haha!!

DIY Super Duper No Sew Fleece Blanket!!!

Hi My Loves!!!

This week is all about Mother's Day on my you tube channel and I thought since I was going to be making this anyway, I would film a tutorial of it! This is the easiest blanket to make and is perfect for people who don't know how to sew very well (like me). I'm going to call it the DIY SUPER DUPER NO SEW BLANKET! I've made so many of these over the years and although they are time consuming  (about an hour with no interruptions) to make, they last so well, are so warm and are so cute!

This would be a perfect DIY gift for any Mommy! So whether you are a Mom to be and wanting to make that special something for your little bundle of joy... or you need a fabulous gift to give to your Mom, this will be loved by anyone who receives it! It's super warm because there are 2 layers of fleece and it's just so dilly dang cute :)

Here is the finished result of my delightful blanket for my little princess in my tummy :)

After I took these pictures I washed it (just regular cycle in the washer and dryer) and tested it out to see how the size was and it was perfect for me! (I'm 5'2) So if your Mom is short like me then this would be a perfect size, if she's taller then maybe a tad bit bigger ;) 

I hope you like my blanket.... I LOVE IT and I'm sure our little baby girl will too :)

A Few of My Favorite Things: Home Edition :)

I thought I would share a few of my favorite "home decor" things with you :) I always tell you guys about my current beauty favorites on Fridays, but I never share my favorite home goodies with you. I really love being surrounded by pretty things in my home, that make it a warm, happy place to spend my day. 

So here are a few of my favorite things (Sound of music melody)

Target is one of my FAVORITE places to get home lovelies :) It's reasonably priced and has my favorite home brand of life, Simply Shabby Chic.

Here are a few things we have picked up over the years, that I absolutely am IN LOVE with! Best purchases ever!

This is the Simply Shabby Chic Embroidered Euro Pillow- White. We have 2 of these on our bed, as well as a light pink one as well. They are big, beautiful and the design of the embroidery is so pretty. You can take the covers off and wash them in the washing machine and they come out as good as new.

This is the Simply Shabby Chic Cozy Blanket-Pink. The name describes it perfectly. It is seriously the  most COMFY, SOFT, LUSCIOUS blanket, both Jay and I have ever felt/had in our lives. It is the perfect amount of warmth too. We have 2 of these, both in Kings. One is a very light green and one is this pink. We have both of them on our bed at the moment, one on top of the other and they are so amazing to sleep with. Soft, warm but not hot, don't get stuck to your dry feet or catch on Jay's dry hands. Best money we have ever spent! I definitely recommend getting at least one of these. Whether it's the same size as your bed or you just get a Twin and put it on the couch for cozy couch days, it's a MUST HAVE! They also wash in the washing machine and come out perfect, although they do take a while to dry. I usually have to dry them in the dryer two times and then hang it over a door to dry completely because ours are so big. But well worth the hassle!

Now these sheets are not the softest sheets I have ever slept on. To be honest they are not very soft at all but they are so super cute ;) They are the Simply Shabby Chic Mon Ami Sheet Set- Pink. Beautiful little pink roses make any bed romantic :)

Onto my favorite shower curtain of life! I absolutely LOVE this beauty! It's so pretty and feminine. It technically completely clashes with our tan walls and modern darkish bathroom fixtures but I love it anyway :) It looks so much better in real life than it does in this picture! This is the Simply Shabby Chic Toile Shower Curtain - Pink. 

Whether you like Shabby Chic or not, the blankets can be suited to quite a few different tastes. Everyone likes soft blankies ;) I think they also have light blue & white. I know not everybody has the same taste as me or cares for such feminine home decor but I just thought I would share some of my favorite things that make our house, our home :) And for people who are wondering, because their husbands would never want such pink, frilly things in there home.... no, Jay does not care :) I'm a very lucky girl :)

Drugstore Valentine's Day Makeup & OOTD! 2/7/12

It's the week before Valentine's Day... so you know what that means???? VALENTINE'S DAY TUTORIALS!!!!

On another note...... I just discovered Pinterest this weekend.... I know you are probably thinking, where have you been freaknuts, it's been the bees knees for so long??? I heard about it from people every now and then on facebook but then this weekend, we were at Dad and Shelli's and she had these amazing pizza rolls. So I was asking her where she got the recipe.... she told me Pinterest. I asked what was the big deal about Pinterest??? Her and my Dad looked at me like I was a total weirdo! LOL

So moral of the story is.... my parents are hipper than me and know more about Pinterest than moi, so Jay and I opened one up yesterday, so that we don't feel so pathetic :) HAHA!!! I'm only just starting so I'm not quite super at it yet, but I'm getting the hang of it whenever I have a free minute :) 

On to my makeup.........

Today I wanted to do a burgundy smoky eye using all drugstore products :) This is one of my favorite kinds of smoky eye because it makes my blue eyes look super duper blue, but of course any eye color will look amazing with this look :)

So if you are on a budget, don't fret! All of these products except my eyebrow pencil (only one I love) you can pick up at your local Walfart or drugstore for less than $10 on most things :)

As far as my outfit goes..... well it's snowing and dilly dang cold outside, plus I have to catch up on laundry and housework seeing as this weekend was a bit too busy and fun for that :) So...... it's just Mommy comfy's today with a bit of pink for some festiveness!
