Making New Memories

Hi My Loves!!

Today we went for one of our favorite walks here in Tahoe, Taylor Creek. The kids love it, we love it. It's just the perfect way to spend time in the morning as a family, enjoy our gorgeous surroundings and get some exercise. There's just something magical and heart warming to see your children enjoying nature and laughing, running and playing together outside. There's nothing I enjoy more than seeing them happy and I'm so very thankful that I get to take them to the places that I grew up doing the same things. Making new memories with our little family in my old childhood places is so special to me. I love where we live.

 How gorgeous is this view? Lake, mountains and meadow! It's so beautiful. I can't wait to see the leaves start changing into warm golds, yellows, oranges and reds. Fall is my absolute favorite season. It just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside haha.

I took this picture today as I was standing there enjoying it's beauty and found this quote which I think represents our life so well. We've had tough times in life and we are so lucky and fortunate to finally be in a spot in life where we are truly happy and living in a place we love so very much. If you are going through tough times in life, I hope this leaves you with a little bit of hope and inspires you to do what it takes to make the life you want.

Wishing I Was Here...

Hi My Loves....

I'm not a winter person. Never have been, never will. I do love the holidays but I'm not one for cold. Lately, with this very cold weather I've been finding myself dreaming of warmth, sun and lazy days on the beach :) If you are like me and you need a little virtual suncation, then relax and take a little look at these delightful pictures of our summer trip. We had so much fun in my hometown of South Lake Tahoe. I'm a beach baby and this was one of my very favorite days while we were there.

Lily and Phoenix had so much fun playing in the water and sand. It was so nice to watch them enjoy something that I grew up loving so much. 

Such a special moment with Phoenix and Uncle Brad playing at the park, with the beautiful lake behind. Daddy and Lily just chillin' in the grass. I love this picture.

This was such a beautiful day. It had just started to rain when we took this picture and the colors look so beautiful.

My favorite picture of all is this one. The most important thing in life is family and to be able to have such a great one..... I am truly blessed.

Hope you had fun looking back at our Summer vacation back to my hometown. It's funny how much you miss the place you grew up in as you get older. I suppose I never really appreciated it's beauty when I was young and used to it. Now that I'm not there, I find myself missing it more and more.....

Back In My Home Town!

Hi My Loves!!!

This week we had an amazing time visiting the town that I grew up in on and off for most of my life. The ever so beautiful South Lake Tahoe. I went to elementary, 6th & 7th grade and then moved back there again for 10th grade and stayed there until I met Jay when I was 21, so a good portion of my life I was there. I do consider Tahoe my home. I had so many great memories there, my Mom was still healthy and we had such a great childhood there and I didn't realize how much I missed it until we went back this week. It's funny how that happens.

We decided to go to my very favorite restaurant Sprouts and had their Classic Burrito, which was just as good as I remembered. Instead of sitting there, we decided to take it to Regan Beach and had a lovely time afterwards snapping some pictures by the gorgeous lake.

Had to get a couple of pictures with the whole family. We are a bit squished and I think Phoenix is trying to poke Moo's ear haha!

Tahoe is beautiful and I think it's more beautiful than I remember. If you've never visited you must! The weather is perfect in the Summer, you really can't beat it. I'm so excited because tomorrow we are heading back up to the lake again to catch up with some old friends so be sure to tune in to our vlogs :)
