Glossybox Unboxing: February 2014

Hi My Loves!!!

Today I'm going to do my February Glossybox Unboxing. It came the other day, so I technically got it in March but that's ok :) The winner has been chosen for my Glossybox Giveaway from last week, I have contacted her and am waiting on a reply. Thank you so much to everyone who entered!

Lets get on with the Unboxing :)

Like always it comes in a cute light pink box. I actually use these boxes for makeup storage because they are really sturdy and the perfect size, so if you have been throwing them away, don't!!! They are awesome for storage (says the box hoarder)...

A cute little card with a heart for the month of Love...

Here's what it looks like once you open it up.

The card has everything listed on it that's inside the box with the price of the full size product and a description of what the product is for.

Lauren B Beauty Nail Polish ~ City of Angels $18.00
This polish is such a beautiful pale pink. This was my favorite thing this month. It's so pale it's almost like wearing a white nail polish but it's much easier to pull off and has that really pretty tint of pink. It goes on really easily and I tried it on two of my nails with one coat and one coat looked good. It doesn't get streaky or thick. Plus the packaging is pretty :)

Anatomicals Puffy the Eye Bag Slayer $11.00 for 3
This is an eye patch that you put on for 30 minutes. Let's be honest guys, I'm probably never going to use this because for me I'm not going to sit there still for 30 minutes waiting for a eye patch to work. It seems like so much time. I'm not sure if they stay on by themselves if you sit up straight or if it's something you have to wear lying down. If it was 5 or 10 maybe but 30 minutes? That's too much!

Renu Extra Firming Lip and Eye Active Lift $49.00 (Full Size)
This is actually a really nice eye and lip cream. It's nice and thin so it absorbs really quickly and doesn't feel or look greasy or thick. It feels really nice on the skin. I like the packaging too because it's kind of different for an eye cream. I don't like when things are too thick that I feel like I can't put my makeup on over the top and this doesn't feel like that would happen. I'll keep using it and keep you updated. This is a deluxe sample size by the way :)

Pureology Serious Colour Care Color Fanatic $24.00 (Full Size)
Another deluxe sample size and this one is for the hair. I've tried Pureology a few times and remembered liking it. I haven't actually tried this one yet but I did smell it and it smells really nice. This might be perfect to save for when I travel and don't want to bring my normal sized products. I'm assuming it's along the lines of the It's a 10.

Sumita Beauty Kala Color Intense Pencil $15.00
This eyeliner is so nice! It's super smooth, creamy and pigmented. You barely need to press and get a rich, black color. Once it sets it doesn't budge. You can not smear or smudge this liner. It stays really well. I haven't tried it in my water line yet but I plan to... let's hope it holds up as well in there as it does on regular skin :)

There is my Unboxing this month. Hope you enjoyed :) I would say 4 out of 5 products I am excited about and the eye patches are a flop for me. So 4 out of 5 is pretty good ;)

#ThrowbackThursday: A Baby Jay & A Special Letter!

Hi My Loves!!

This week's #ThrowbackThursday has some great pictures I found in our treasure box of memories. I found some real goodies for you, so get ready for extreme cuteness, coolness and some really big hair.

First picture is of Jay when he was a baby. He looks about 16-18 months I'm guessing. He's got his little snowsuit on.. how cute is he?? Who do you think he looks like? Phoenix or Lily? I can't decide. I think I see more of Lily. He was such a gorgeous baby. I love his little outfit.
What a cutie patootie :)

Next is a letter from my Mom. It's kind of ironic now that I read it as a 28 year old woman who has lost her mother. Who knew that when I was 6, this note would mean so much to me 22 years later. It's weird in a way, the things that she wrote because now I don't have her but she is always in my heart.

My Dad and Mom went to America when we were little to go and find a new place to live, since we were moving over there. My brother, sister and I stayed with my Nanny and Grandad in England. I don't actually know how long they were gone for but I remember at the time it seemed like months. I honestly have no clue how long it was. I cried a lot. I missed her so much. I had a dress that my Aunt gave to me. She told me I couldn't cry in it when I went to school because my tears would make holes in my dress and eventually I wouldn't have a dress to wear. I remember trying not to get my tears on my dress ;) It's funny the things that stick out in your mind so much. It's crazy to think that fast forward 8 years from this note, I would be crying again from missing her. Life is strange.

On a happier note isn't the picture super cute? I'm a Leo and so was my Mom. Lions have always been something that she would get me, whether it was a necklace or stuffed animal. I love Lions to this day :) Magestic creatures. Sheba was our Newfoundland. She passed away and my Mom was so upset. Sheba was a great doggy and she had her when I was a baby.

Here's something a little funner. My diary from 2000. I was 14. It must have been an Easter Break because I was having a lot of sleepovers. My Mom was in the hospital a lot, so I tried to keep my mind occupied with friends. Hugh was my boyfriend. He was very sweet and made those hard years much happier for me. I love this little bear character. It was my favorite when I was younger. I always bought these little diary's with the bear on it. So cute. I don't see them over here though.

Last but not least is a picture of my Nanny (Grandma), Mom (in the middle), Aunt (left) and Uncle (the baby). How cool is this picture? It must have been early 60's? I love their hair! So fun and crazy to think that little girls wore it like this at such a young age. My Mom looks just like me at that age but with dark eyes and dark hair. My Nanny is so glamorous here :) She's a beauty.

It makes me laugh because my Mom always used to tell me how my Nanny would dress her and my Aunt in the same outfits all the time. I can't remember if she got annoyed by it or not but I think it's so cute.

That's my Throwback Thursday for you :) Hope you like it! Sorry if these have been a little more deep and dark but I like sharing these pictures with you. It's made me the person I am today. We all have moments in our lives that were dark periods but it's all how you decide to live your life in the end. I am so fortunate to have such an amazing, happy life now. I never thought at the time of darkness, I could ever be happy again. But here I am, happiest I've ever been with my soulmate and two healthy beautiful babies :) Don't give up if you are in your dark spell. We all have them, it's what you turn them into that counts :)

Love you all!

Oscar Inspired OOTD and My OSCARS 2014 BEST DRESSED!

Hi My Loves!!!

Last night was the Oscars and I had so much fun watching all the stars in their amazing dresses. There were so many beautiful looks. I've chosen my best dressed stars of the night and I have another Oscar Inspired look for you today :)

Today's One of a Kind Red Carpet style turned into my One of a Kind Daytime look was inspired by the lovely Giuliana Rancic. She has slowly become my fashion icon. I love everything she wears to the award show and she always looks amazing on E! Last nights look was my favorite. She reminded me of a fairy swan princess. It's a dress I would love to wear. Actually make her dress white and that would be my dream wedding dress... a bit late now haha! It was just beautiful on her.

Now I didn't have anything in my closet that was the exact same color or material as her dress so I chose to go with something that was in the grey range ;) All one color from head to toe is nice sometimes, after all! This is just a super casual look, perfect for any daytime activity.... shopping, lunch with a friend or running errands.

Top: TJ Maxx // Cardigan: It's Our Time // Rockstar Skinny Jeans: Old Navy // Silver Flats: JustFab

I decide to do an easy updo. Mine's not quite as slicked back as her's was but a nice side bun and a fun little twirly braid in the front makes it more day friendly and easier to pull off.

Earrings: Shop Lately

This is my new favorite way to pin up my hair. It's so quick and the perfect way to grow out an awkward bang.

I went with a dark brown smoky eye like Giuliana's and loved how it turned out (of course I didn't film it lol).... By keeping the lower lash line free of shadow or liner, it makes it a little more day time friendly.

My Clare Vivier clutch is the perfect grey to compliment my outfit.

Love these metallic silver flats :) They just add a touch of "look at me" to the whole look :)

Here's the look that inspired my whole outfit and makeup etc. Now her dress is a bit more of a taupe/tan but like I said, I didn't have anything close to this color so grey will have to do haha! I like how she went with a bold smoky eye and then very minimal jewelry. No necklace, no bracelet and then just a bit sparkly ring and big sparkly earring. She is my best dressed of the night 100%. LOVE THIS LOOK!

#2. Maria Menounos
I love this grecian goddess look. Her hair is perfection, I love the simple braids and wispy pieces. Makeup is gorgeous and the dress is sooooo gorgeous! It's just beautiful on her. I love the bead work and white just looks amazing with her coloring. I love how the sequins catch the light. I'm just a sucker for sparkles and white :)

#3. Lupita Nyong'o
This color on her skin is amazing. I think this blue is such a pretty color. The material is so whimsical and feminine. I love that she added a little bit of sparkle with her headband to keep the look more feminine. I like the shape and style of her bracelet although I almost think a more sparkly type blingy finish would have been more flattering rather than the gold but hey that's just me ;) The shimmers in the train are gorgeous. It's almost like a dress you would picture in Heaven :) I would LOVE to wear this dress though my boobs are way too big and way too saggy.... woe is me haha!

#4. Jennifer Lawrence
Ok number one... I love her hair swept back like this. It's so Charlize Theron in the Dior commercial. The back necklace is so cool and the color of this dress on her skin looks so elegant and glamorous. Her body is just so perfect for this dress and she looks so pulled together yet so effortless.

#5. Kate Hudson
Jay's new girlfriend as of last night haha! As soon as he saw her in this dress he was like, "Whoa when did Kate Hudson get so hot?" She looks like a model in this dress. Her hair is so perfect so soften the shoulder pads. The material is gorgeous with all the sparkle at the top and then the satin bottom.... LOVE IT.

#6. Kelly Osborne
I LOVED this look on her. It makes her figure look awesome, the old Hollywood hair looks perfect with the shape of the dress and I love the sheer bliged out shrug type thingy (have no clue what it's called) that is over the dress. It's so classic and elegant but she has a way of keeping it fresh and hip with her fabulous lavender hair. To me, gold and white is just delightful. I just can't get enough of those two colors together.

Last but not least....

#7. Charlize Theron
She can't look bad. She is so beautiful and sophisticated. Killer bone structure and such an amazing body. I love the gorgeous necklace and the shape of the dress. It just shows off all of her curves so well and I love how the bottom has that sheer bit to catch the light. Perfect choice of nail color too!

There you have it :) My Best Dressed for the Oscars. It was a great show. I think Ellen did an amazing job hosting, she kept it funny and the Oscar Selfie was my favorite moment... ok and Jennifer Lawrence tripping again and the pizza. It was actually a great show!

Hope you enjoyed my look! Thanks so much for reading and here's my latest video:
