Photo Friendly Holiday Party Makeup!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today's tutorial is a photo friendly holiday makeup tutorial. This is actually the makeup I wore for our Christmas pictures this year. Everything photographs so nicely, especially the foundation. I was inspired by a makeup look I saw on Brooke Burke. It just screamed "Christmas" so I thought I would try a similar version on myself for our pictures and I loved the way it turned out.

These pictures are all with flash and you can see how beautifully this foundation photographs, so it's perfect for your holiday pictures or going to Christmas work parties etc :) Somehow the makeup blurs out your imperfections with the flash. It just makes the skin look amazing. It gives a nice glow to the skin without feeling dewy or greasy.

Here's another picture I snapped with my regular vlog camera in the dark hallway with flash. Excuse my expression but you can tell how beautifully it photographs even in cruddy lighting ;)

How To Wear Blue Eyeshadow!

Hi My Loves!!!

I have a lot of people ask me how to pull off blue eyeshadow. For a lot of people it's a color that makes them nervous that they will end up looking like Mimi from Drew Carey. Here's how I like to wear it so that I don't look like her :)

The key is to keep it looking light and glowy or super dark and smokey. A matte blue can be super tough if it's just all one color so if you are into matte shades just be sure to put some deep navy or darker blue in there... even a silver in the corner to brighten would work too. Also keep the majority of the blue on your lid, try not to go too high with it. Wearing a tan or soft brown in the crease with a pop of blue on the lid works too :)

This is my favorite way to wear blue at the moment. Glowy, shimmery and super easy and quick! By putting a royal blue liner all over my lower lid and smudging out with my finger and then topping it off with a shimmery pigment, it gives it that peek of blue underneath but keeps it so that it catches the light. This way your first though is how sparkly the eyes look, rather than whoa blue eyeshadow ;)

Friday Favorites & Fudgeroos 12/2/11

This week my hair was driving me crazy so I decided to go and get it cut. The ends were so fried from when I did my Ombre Hair so I thought lets just cut those suckers off!!! The salon I went to was so snazzy and I am so pleased with my haircut ;) Hope you guys like it!!
