Giving the Gift of Sleep to a Very Special Friend.....

Hi My Loves!!!

2013 was a great year for me. I had so much fun with my you tube and blog and was given a really great opportunity to go to the Pampers Headquarters and P&E headquarters in Ohio and take a tour of everything to do with the brand. I saw how diapers were made, got to see all of the tests they do to see how they work and compare to other brands and met a bunch of really great other Mommy vloggers & bloggers, as well as the amazing people that work for Pampers. I was so honored to have the opportunity. 

Pampers current campaign is The Gift of Sleep. Their new Baby Dry diapers keep your baby dryer longer so that you and your baby can get more sleep without being disturbed by a bothersome wet diaper. Hence the name.... Gift of Sleep. I was fortunate enough to receive a gift card from Pampers to buy whatever I wanted, to a family that was expecting or with a newborn, to give them the Gift of Sleep. I was so excited when I found out about this because it's always nice to bring a bit of Joy to someone by doing something unexpected :)

I decided to use the gift card for my sweet friend Marie (BitsandClips) and her family. If you haven't watched her already, then you should because she is fabulous and fun and so sweet. Her and her husband Ryan (such a nice guy) have a beautiful daughter named Scarlet and have just welcomed a gorgeous little boy, Luca, into their loving family. We have been friends through You Tube for a few years now. She started watching us when I did my pregnancy vlogs with Phoenix. We became friends quickly after she sent me a video response to our What's In My Fridge Tag. I remember 30 seconds into it, I thought to myself.... "I want to be her friend!" And now we are :) We actually had the chance to meet up at Vlogger fair in Seattle and had so much fun going to lunch and the beach with the kids. They are such a down to Earth, hard working, loving family and I couldn't think of anyone who deserved it more, than them. 

2013 was a little bumpy for them, Marie's Mom got sick and she had to move her into their home. Ryan and Marie moved their bed into the living room to make room for her Mom. It was a cramped space to say the least. They have had so much going on and being pregnant throughout the whole thing, while taking care of her sick Mom as well as a toddler was draining and I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to at least take some of the stress off of having to buy the things she needed. Ryan works his booty off and barely sleeps... I don't know how than Man does it, other than the pure LOVE for his family.

The beautiful Baby Luca... what an adorable picture!

I asked Marie if their were any specific things that she hadn't gotten from her registry, that she still really needed. I wanted to make sure that the money was well spent (Pampers was very generous with the amount they gave me) and I didn't want to get things that she wouldn't use. She sent me over her registry and I chose off of the list :) Here's everything I chose for her. She just recently emailed me and told me than she's been getting so much use out of everything, which really makes me happy!

I chose this cuddly alphabet blanket for Luca. Phoenix had one similar when he was a baby and he loved it and we still have it and the kids like to point to all the animals and letters on it.

Of course every Mom appreciates a bunch of Diapers. When my babies were newborns, we always used the Pampers swaddlers because the Umbilical cord cut out was so convenient and they were the only ones we could use, that they wouldn't start crying with as soon as a tiny tinkle came out haha! I remember the first time we got Huggies and Phoenix would have the tiniest pee and start crying and fussing immediately. As soon as I switched him to Pampers, he was fine... I also got a big box of baby wipes too. Can't have diapers and no wipes!

I wanted to get her a really nice monitor and sound machine. That was my biggest thing when transitioning the kids to their own rooms. I was so worried because I wouldn't be able to watch them. We kept both Phoenix and Lily in with our bedroom until they were 9 months. We actually had Phoenix's crib in our room right next to our bed and Lily's pack and play. I just liked knowing that I could see them. So I got a video one for them :) I think if I would have had a baby monitor with video, I would have been able to relax a bit better. We have a sound machine for Lily's room and that has really helped us. The heartbeat noise keeps her sleeping so much better than when it's just silent in there, so I thought that was a necessity as well. SwaddleMe's were such a blessing in the middle of the night for us when the baby's were newborns. I used them every night and when your tired, stumbling around in the night, they are your best friend. I couldn't send all of this stuff without sending a little something for Scarlet, so I chose the sibling book for her. I always told everyone coming over when Lily was born to be sure to say hi to Phoenix first, so that he wouldn't feel left out and grow to be jealous of her. I'm so glad I did because he is so good with her and has been since day one.

I also ordered this super cute activity mat for Luca. Perfect for tummy time.

Drugstore FALL Makeup & Four $50 Giftcards GIVEAWAY!

Hi My Loves!!!

With the Fall season upon us (ours literally came in the form of a hail storm that completely tore apart our house lol) it's that time to start pulling out the darker shades for makeup. Dark berry and red lips, coppery browns, plums and golden dark greens and some of my favorite colors to wear in the Fall and I'm going to show you some of my favorite drugstore pieces from one of my favorite drugstore brands, Physicians Formula, to create some beautiful Fall makeup looks. 

The first one is the Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Season to Season Bronzer

What's nice about this is that it has 4 individual shades that can take you from Summer through to Winter depending on whether you have a bit of a tan going on or your our pale for the winter :) Or you can mix them all together for the perfect warm glow.

For blushes I have two options. The first one is my very favorite blush from Physicians Formula, the Sexy Glow Sexy Booster Blush. Not only does it smell like vanilla, it has a beautiful pink subtle shimmer that adds a nice color and subtle gleam to your cheek. The next option which is perfect for Fall is the Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Rose. These has some deeper toned rose pinks and mauves mixed in so that it gives that slightly deeper color for Fall. Plus it smells good too :) It's not so shimmery either so if you are someone who doesn't like shimmer to their blush, this one would be better for you.

Now this is a must have in anyone makeup collection. It's the Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls. I've had mine for years! I actually first got turned on to it from the ever so lovely BlackLabLover9. I saw her use it and immediately went out and got it. You always should have a highlighter. I am a highlighting queen lol, I just have an obsession. This is actually one of Kandee Johnson's favorite highlighters too!

I have 3 different options for eye palettes for Fall. These 3 are all shimmery and then I have one matte option below too. The first one with all the purple shades is perfect for those of you with green, brown and hazel eyes... or anyone who really loves a good plum eye! It's the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner Pop Collection in Pop Brown Eyes. This is another one I've had for years (when I was pregnant with Phoenix) and I just love these shades for fall. Next one over is another really beautiful one for Fall but more earth toned with a couple of light pink tones. This one is the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner Bronze Collection in Bronze Hazel Eyes. Specifically designed for Hazel eyes but still looks great on my blue eyes and my sisters dark chocolate brown eyes too. Last but not least is my very favorite one. The Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner Nude Collection in Warm Nude Eyes. This is a semi recent one for me (I got it at the beginning of the summer) and I just love this one. It's so perfect for my blue eyes and if you like golds, coppers and warm browns you will love this palette. It's so shimmery and beautiful and perfect for that warm coppery fall makeup look.

Now I realize not everyone likes shimmery eyeshadows, so for those Matte ladies out there.... here's a perfect matte quad that's perfect for creating a beautiful warm neutral classic eye. The Matte Collection Quad Eyeshadow is really pretty and perfectly matte ;)

For liners I picked the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Cream/Gel Liner for Brown Eyes. It's got a black with a tiny bit of shimmer, a dark chocolate brown and a rich, deep plum. All of these shades have a tiny bit of shimmer to them but noting that's crazy obvious. They last all day long without creasing (even on my greasy, creasy lids) and apply so easily and creamy. I like to apply them with the Sigma E05 for that perfect wing.

For pencils the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio Nude Collection are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for this season. They are all shimmery and pigmented and last a super long time without smudging. If you apply them and then try to wash it off of your hands, it will still be there. These are really great. And such perfect copper and bronze colors for fall. I love to use these as a base underneath my shadow for that extra pop and long lasting power. 

How beautiful is that copper? I love that color! So pretty!

Now these have to be my ALL TIME FAVORITE product that Physicians Formula has come out with of all time. The Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Liquid Metal EYeliner Trio Universal Looks Collection in Nude Eyes are truly amazing. I like to use them as a base under my shadow and also on my inner corner to brighten up my eyes and on my lower lash line for extra sparkle. They really are so beautiful and last forever! I love how small and easy they are to use as well. They are all super shimmery and the colors are perfect for giving you that wide awake look (even if you are so tired)...

 OBSESSED!!

Last but not least is my favorite lip product from Physicians Formula and this color is so perfect for the fall season especially with all the festive holidays coming up. This is the Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Glossy Stain in Red. It's the perfect red, it's got a great finish that isn't matte but it's not too glossy to where it bleeds and feathers all over your lips and you end up looking like you just got done making out ;) It stays on really well and looks beautiful. Perfect for holiday pictures!

All of these products can be found at my very favorite drugstore (like I have to tell you) Target. As you all know I love Target.... I could probably just live there and be fine and dandy. I swear I'm there at least twice a week haha! Speaking of Target, have you signed up for their Target Debit card yet (it's not a credit card so don't be skeptical, I was at first)..... That thing is honestly the best thing that ever happened to me shopping wise. Every purchase whether you make it online or in the store, on full priced items or clearance you save 5% on your purchase. All day, erry day :) It's the best thing ever! Plus free shipping on online purchases! So next time you are in Target and the cashier asks you if you want to sign up for it..... say YES! You will love it ;) And no Target is not paying me to tell you this.... but I do use mine every time I shop there and always save a bunch :) I tell all my friends all the time. BS just signed up for it and loves it too. So now you know about that, let's get back to what I was talking about... random rant I know haha! Target has now relocated their Physicians Formula line, which is now on the end cap of the aisle.

Hello Kitty Phone Case & GIVEAWAY!!!

You guys know I love me some good ol' Hello Kitty... I HAD to share my new Iphone case with you guys because it is seriously my new OBSESSION :) I know there are a lot of you who share the same love for Hello Kitty too, so this was just way too cute not to share :)

Here is my amazingly cute and fabulous Hello Kitty Iphone Case!!!! It fits the Iphone 4/4S...... It has a hole for the camera (even though my camera doesn't work)

Here it is, in my hand so you can see the size. I hate holding my phone normally because I feel like it's quite awkward but with this, the material of it is grippy and so it makes it much easier to hold :)

It fits completely float with the phone, so there's no wonky edges. (BEWARE if you wear makeup though as it will rub off on the white, but it comes off easily)

Again, holding it to show size ;) (note the delightful little crack above my camera, hence why my camera no longer works and I no longer use Instagram.... wa wa wahhhhhh)

A space for the charger to plug into......

 ........and of course a spot for the headphones to go into. It also has a little button on top for the power button. 

I must say this is the snazziest my phone has ever looked. I've never had a case on it and now I feel like it would look super naked without it's little friend :)
