5 Unicorn Things I'm Loving

Hi Guys!

I love unicorns. Lately I've been extra into them. I've been adding pieces slowly into my unicorn collection. It started with my lamp which I love so much and then from there I just kept on finding super cute unicorn things and then I got the idea to create my own unicorn notebook, which made me very happy when I saw the final product. It came out so beautiful and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on one too! So today's post is just a whole lot of unicorn love.

Here's what my notebook design looks like. I'll leave the video showing you more in depth of what the sizes are and what it looks like below this picture but I just wanted to at least give you a little peek of it. It's just such unicorn eye candy. You can also personalize them, so that you have your name on the notebook.

(Use code SAM30 to save 30% off of my notebooks and any notebook from the site until Sept. 30th)

Here's the video!

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already purchased on of my notebooks. It means a lot to me and I've had a lot of great feedback on them, so thank you!!! I hope you love them as much as I do.

I even have an Instagram dedicated to sharing things I find that are unicorn accessories and showing you where you can get yourself one too, so be sure to follow it, if you like unicorns of course!

Ok, now I want to show you a few of the things I've added to my must get at some point list.

Enjoy.

Now if this isn't fun, I don't know what is. I need this for our beach days!

These are so cute for a little girl's room. I'm trying to decide how I could do it in Phoenix & Lily's. Maybe find another cute one for him and then they could each have their own super cute wall mounts.

It's hard to find unicorn stuff for boys, but these are cute!! How adorable would the kids look in these?

Now this is a little pricey but it's a very glam unicorn head for a kids room or even an adults space.

I think 5 is enough for now. There's plenty more unicorn's out there for me to share another time. Don't forget to follow my Instagram @unicornwishlist to see what other fabulous things I find!

I also have a new video up on my mommy channel. It's a Back To School Clothing Haul for Lily and she guest stars in it. So be sure to watch that and let us know what your favorite outfit is!

Thanks for reading!

New Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation | Demo & First Impressions

Hey Guys!

Urban Decay has come out with a new foundation called the All Nighter Foundation and I reviewed it for you on my channel!

This retails for $40 and has 24 shades.
Get yours here: Sephora

Here's what the website claims:

What it is:
An oil-free, full-coverage, waterproof foundation with a matte finish that lasts all night.

What it does:
All Nighter Liquid Foundation offers full coverage with a modern matte finish that never looks overdone. Get foundation wear that lasts all night and a flawless-looking complexion with this foundation. Perfect for a night on the town, this innovative formula is also comfortable enough to wear every day.

While Naked Skin complexion products are demi-matte, All Nighter Liquid Foundation is completely matte. Urban Decay loaded this formula with an insane amount of pigment (about three times as much as Naked Skin Liquid Makeup), so a little goes a long way. There’s no need to build coverage or apply multiple layers. It diffuses light to blur flaws for beautifully perfected skin as it mattifies and absorbs oil to reduce the appearance of shine. With a wide range of meticulously calibrated shades that match UD’s existing Naked Skin Liquid Makeup shades, it’s easy to find your perfect match.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens

What else you need to know:
All Nighter Liquid Foundation comes in a sleek, edgy bottle that has a luxurious, highly metallized gunmetal effect with asymmetric cutouts. As cool as it looks, it’s also practical; the shade is clearly visible, but the bottle never looks messy. It’s also equipped with an airless pump—so it’s easy to get out every last bit of product.

Top 5 Paleo Recipes from LexisCleanKitchen.

Hi Guys!

I wanted to share some of my favorite recipes that I've been using quite a lot lately. I've become obsessed with LexisCleanKitchen's recipes, especially now that Jay has found out all of his food allergies. I like Lexi because she has delicious recipes, that are easy to follow for someone who doesn't really like to cook :) Here's my very favorite recipes that I've tried so far.

Turkey Kale Soup

This is probably my most made dish. We eat this about two times a week and we love it. It's hearty with the turkey ground and big kale leaves but it's still light enough not to make you feel bloated when you're finished eating. This recipe makes enough for us to eat dinner and then lunch the next day.

Breakfast Salad

This is the best salad you will ever eat in your entire life. The bacon gives it so much flavor. The sweet potato makes it heart and the dressing is so delicious. I just make the dressing in the vitamix and it is perfect. We don't put egg in ours, as we are both allergic to eggs but it tastes amazing without it too. I highly recommend making this guys. It's seriously addicting. I want one as I type this hahaha!

Turkey Chili

This chili is so yummy. It's not like your normal chili, however it's a very nice change. I love the bell peppers in it because they add a sweetness, so that you don't crave honey and corn bread quite as much! (Who am I kidding... I still want the cornbread!) But it is a delicious chili and it's perfect for those chill days, when you're at home and you can just let it simmer for a while. Ours made dinner, lunch for the next day, and dinner the next day. What a bargain!

Pizza Stuffed Peppers

These stuffed peppers are really delicious. I don't put cheese on mine because I try to stay from dairy as much as possible (except when I crave ice cream haha) because of my acne. These taste great without cheese as well though.

Zucchini Boats

These are so delicious guys! We really love these. I actually made this for Jay another time, when we had everyone over and I made spaghetti and he didn't mind it at all, not having the pasta. So they really are very filling and delicious. The scooping of the zucchini boats was a challenge since I didn't have a scooper but I made it work with a spoon haha!

Those are my top 5. Be sure to check out LexisCleanKitchen if you are looking for healthy, delicious and easy recipes. She really is talented and I'm so glad I found her! She also has a new cookbook coming out, which I will be ordering.

No7 Stay Perfect Foundation Review & Swatches

Sponsored by No7.

Hi Guys!
Today I'll be reviewing the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation. This is available at your local Target store or at Target.com for $15.99. There are 13 shades to choose from all together and I'll be swatching most of the shades for you today. If you're not familiar with No7, it's originally from the UK. It's currently the UK's #1 beauty brand and is known for their anti-aging serums. I actually grew up with my Mom and Aunt using it (during my early teens) and so I've always been pretty familiar with it but never really used their foundation until now. They are launching their new expanded range of skin-true shades in the US at Target stores, as well as lots of other gorgeous makeup. From eyebrow pencils to lip pencils, they have a range of beautiful colors and products to choose from. Today though, we are focusing on the foundation.

Let's talk a little bit about the technology of No7 Match Made first. Have you ever bought foundation only to get home and it's way too cool, or way too warm for you? The struggle of trying to find the perfect shade can be frustrating, so No7 scientists spent 4 years measuring the skin color of almost 3,000 women around the world. Once they got all of the data, they developed a range of skin-true foundation shades. You can find these in their No7 Stay Perfect Foundation, No7 Airbrush Away Foundation, No7 Lift & Luminate Foundation and the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation.

Here's what the foundation claims:
  • The UK’s No.1 foundation delivers amazing long-lasting wear that will not smear or fade; make-up stays fresh from day to night
  • Fragrance free and non-pore clogging, provides prolonged moisturization while restoring the surface of the skin
  • Offers light to medium coverage that won’t dry the skin and fights shine, perfect for all skin types
  • Skin is protected from future damage with SPF 15, Vitamin E, Pro-vitamin B5, ceramides, and antioxidants
  • For a flawless finish that lasts up to 17 hours, this lightweight yet durable foundation won’t let you down— whatever life throws at you.

These pictures were taken right after application with flash.

Onto the foundation review:

Packaging:
I think the packaging is very sleek. It's a glass bottle, so it is heavy. Keep that in mind when traveling. I love the pump top. It makes it stay very clean and it's so convenient to use. It's 1oz of product, so pretty standard as far as the size goes.

Coverage:
This is a sheer to medium coverage. Applied with your fingers, you can get a nice sheer coverage. If you want a little bit more, you can use a damp beauty blender. It is buildable as far as it not getting cakey, however it won't build coverage. If you are looking for a full coverage, this is not going to be the foundation for you. But if you want something that evens out your skin but doesn't look or feel heavy, you will love this.

Finish:
This is a very skin like, glowy finish. It's not oily or greasy feeling, but it does leave your skin with a soft dew/glow. It's very lightweight and feels great on the skin. I would say it's closest to satin.

Texture:
It's a medium thickness. Not super runny but not super thick.

Application:
It's easy to blend with fingers or a beauty blender and feels silky when you apply it. This is great for someone who doesn't have a whole lot of time to worry about blending your foundation perfectly, as it's quite effortless. I prefer it with a beauty blender for more coverage.

Wrinkle Friendliness:
I think this is friendly on the wrinkles once it has worn for an hour or so and your natural oils have come through. I notice it's great before you apply powder but then with this foundation, once you apply powder to set, at first it doesn't look it's best. It's a gorgeous foundation with no powder. It still looks nice with powder on, but I think it's meant to be worn alone. But if you are oily like me and need a little powder to set, it will be gorgeous in about an hour and that dew peeks thorough. And that's when the wrinkles really blur.

Lasting Power:
I'm actually really impressed with the lasting power. I was concerned it wasn't going to control my oil but it really does a great job and keeping your skin looking healthy and skin like, without looking overly oily. It doesn't oxidize and it doesn't break down as the day goes on. The coverage of it could be a little fuller, because I can still see my blemishes, but it really does last really well and looks better as you wear it.

This picture was taken at 8pm at night, with flash after wearing it for 9 hours of wear. As you can see it photographs beautifully. I haven't added a filter or anything like that, so you can see my delightful acne scars, but I wanted to show how nicely this foundation does photograph. It really does look nice in the wrinkles. I prefer the way it looks, as I wear it longer. Once a little bit of the dew comes through (I powder mine when I first apply, as I'm oily), it looks really skin like and very fresh on the skin.

Color:
Comes in 13 skin shades: Toffee, Chestnut, Latte, Wheat, Honey, Deeply Beige, Cool
Beige, Warm Beige, Cool Ivory, Warm Ivory, Cool Vanilla, Calico, Ebony

From left to right:
Calico, Cool Vanilla, Warm Ivory (this is what I wear), Warm Beige, Deeply Beige, Cool Beige, Honey & Wheat.

Photo Friendly:
See photo above. I think it photographs gorgeously! No white cast, even though there is sunscreen and it blurs the wrinkles really well in pictures.

Easy to Remove?
I just use my Liz Earle Cleansing polish and it removes easily.

My Color:
Warm Beige
SPF: 15

Scent:
Typical foundation scent. It's not strong or overwhelming.

Skin Type:
It claims to be for all skin types. I'd say if you are SUPER oily, make sure you powder first. If you are super dry, make sure you moisturize really well because it could cling to dry patches. But I do think most skin types will be fine with this.

Price:
$15.99

 Where to purchase:
 Target or Target.com

Who's it best for?
This will work best for someone who has decent skin already but wants to even out their skin and make it look really fresh and healthy. It's not going to be for someone who is used to a full coverage foundation. This is medium coverage at it's fullest but it is gorgeous on the skin, looks really natural and fresh and I think it's a perfect foundation for Summer. If you are someone who doesn't want to be completely bare faced at the beach but still wants to look very natural and dewy, buy this foundation because it's perfect for that. It also feels very comfortable on, wears really well and is very easy to apply. Plus the price is great. Honestly if the coverage of this was just a little fuller, this would be my go to foundation. But unfortunately for me, my skin is breaking out like crazy lately and needs a little more coverage than this gives. I can still make it work but I feel more comfortable with a little fuller coverage. The only con to this foundation is the coverage. Other than that it is great.

Would I repurchase?
I probably wouldn't just because of my skin situation at the moment. If my skin was in better condition, I absolutely would, just because I love the finish so much. But as of now and these darn break outs, I just need a little more coverage. I have been wearing it this last week though, and my makeup looks really pretty. I honestly would only need a little extra coverage on my neck area where I'm breakout out.

Ok guys. I hope that helps make your decision! Thanks for reading!

Zucchini Boats!

Hey Guys!

So I recently just weighed myself after a very long time of not weighing myself. I was not happy when I looked down. Let's just put it that way. I could feel myself over the last couple of years feeling a little softer but I wasn't aware of what I actually gained, until my sister brought that blasted scale into our home. It's all her fault! HAHA!!

Anyway, luckily since I weighed I'm down 6 pounds. It's probably water weight, but who cares. It makes me feel better about myself lol. So I've just been trying to be more conscious of what I'm eating. I was really good at the beginning of the year and then it all went to crap.

I was searching for Paleo recipes to try and stumbled across Lexi's Clean Kitchen. I've used her Turkey & Kale soup recipe in the past and it's actually our favorite soup ever. I make it all the time. But I never really looked for more recipes until this week. She has so many amazing recipes guys! They are paleo friendly and so far the soup is amazing, and the zucchini boats (I made them tonight) were so delicious as well. What I like about her recipes, is that they are easy to follow, don't use too many ingredients and they are pretty basic foods. Nothing super fancy that I can't figure out.

Tonight we had the Zucchini Boats which were delicious.

If you guys are trying to go Paleo or just looking for some healthier options to eat, I highly recommend her blog. She has a great variety and they are yummy!

Hope that helps guys :)

P.S. My computer made me mad tonight while I was editing and I totally ate Chocolate Digestives. :/

"Me Time"

This post is sponsored by Target.

Today, I'm going to give you a little peek into how I have "me time." As a mom who works from home, things can get hectic sometimes. I get caught up cleaning, taking care of the kids, editing and emails, and sometimes I forget about me. It can be really easy to do. When I was younger, before I had children, I had all the time in the world to pamper myself, take long baths, get massages, go to the salon and just spend hours doing my hair and makeup. I don't have that kind of time now. So when I want a little "me time," it's much less involved than it used to be, but it's still just as amazing.

It's funny how life changes!

Nowadays, my "me time" is taking a long, hot shower by myself once the kids go to bed. Simple right? But it's so nice. No interruptions. Just me and the hot water and some lovely products to help pamper my skin and hair. I can take as much time as I want in there. Shave my legs, wash my hair, exfoliate my body and step out feeling like a human being again! Haha!

Here are the items I used last night to make me feel pampered in my very own home. All of these items can be found at your local Target. Plus, they all smell AMAZING!

The first thing I do is wash my hair with the Proganix Anti Fade Cheery Blossom Shampoo & Conditioner. I have to be honest: I kind of picked this up because the packaging is gorgeous! Haha! I'm a sucker for pink and gold. This smells so gorgeous too. But it's actually a really nice shampoo and conditioner. It's sulfate-free, so it doesn't lather a huge amount, but it leaves your hair feeling clean and very soft. The conditioner does a really great job at detangling and leaving hair silky smooth. I always make sure to leave my conditioner on while I exfoliate, shave, wash, etc. So be sure to do this first so your hair is really getting a good conditioning treatment.

Next, I use Boots Extracts Mango Sugar Scrub. You all know I grew up in England and absolutely love Boots. So it makes me so happy that Target carries this brand. Their products smell amazing and feel really moisturizing on the skin. The mango is heavenly! I like to exfoliate my skin once a week before I self-tan to ensure that I will get the most even, glowy self-tan possible. It also helps to get rid of all of the dead skin cells and old self-tan that is still on your skin. I use mine with an exfoliating glove.

Once I've exfoliated and shaved, I use the Boots Extracts Mango Body Wash. Again, this smells so delicious. I just want to eat it! Haha! It's a very moisturizing formula that leaves your skin feeling super hydrated. I also wash my face in the shower with the Acure Facial Cleansing Gel. This smells like citrus and lathers really well. It's a gel formula that leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean, but not tight or dry.

It's a super simple routine, but it just feels so nice at the end of a long day to have taken a little quiet time to yourself. After that, I apply my self-tanner, let my hair air dry and go and edit the vlog. It's my little half-hour of me time, and it always makes me feel so much better.

How cute is this dish? I found it at Target in the dollar section. It's actually a candle holder, but you could use it to store your favorite skin-care products, Q-tips or lip gloss, or use it for its purpose and light a nice candle and take a hot bath and relax.

Don't forget to check out your local Target to find all the items I showed in this post, as well as many more amazing products to help you feel relaxed and fabulous!

Naughty or Nice?

This post is sponsored by Target.

Have you been naughty or nice this year? Target has a new video with Nikki, from My Style Diaries, that shows you two different makeup looks for the holiday season. One look is for the nice girls, and one is for those who like a naughtier makeup look.

Check out the video here:

Today, I'm going to show you my "nice" makeup look. Everything shown can be found at your local Target. Target.com has free shipping and returns on all orders, from now through Dec. 25. It is free standard shipping (three to five business days). Plus, if you use your REDcard, you can save 5% off everything you buy! They are also offering free returns.

So, let's get on with the look. Here's what you will need to create that angelic look that screams nice girl. Santa will definitely be giving you what you want this year! Haha!

1. Start off with your favorite foundation, concealer and powder.
2. Contour using Pixi by Petra Natural Contour Kit (bottom contour color).
3. Use Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Palette Light mixed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush in 30 Flushed.
4. Apply Pixi by Petra Endless Brow Gel Pen to your eyebrows, and set with Pixi by Petra Natural Brow Duo (the gel side).
5. Apply the top-right shimmery shade from the Pixi by Petra Natural Contour Kit as a highlighter to your brow bone, tip and bridge of your nose, cupid's bow, tear duct and tops of your cheekbones.
6. For the eyes, use the camel color from the Pixi by Petra Natural Contour Kit in the crease. Then apply the bottom shade from the Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Copper Peach to the outer corner of the eyes, blending into the crease. With your finger, apply the fourth shade down (Light Peach) to the rest of the lid. Apply the highlight shade you used on the rest of your face to the very inner corner. Taking a flat shader brush and the second-to-last color in the Mesmerizing palette, buff along the lower lash line.7. Apply the No7 Stay Perfect Shade & Define in Pink Pearl in Pink Pearl to the inner corner of the tops of the lid, the tear duct and the inner corner of the lower lash line.
8. Curl your eyelashes and apply two coats of L'Oréal Telescopic Carbon Black.
9. Apply a good coat of the No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Daydreamer to the lips.
10. Line very softly around the lips with the Sonia Kashuk Pink Whisper Lip Definer.
11. Spray the Pixi by Petra Makeup Fixing Mist to set your makeup and pop your highlight.

That's it! It's an easy, quick look that's sure to convince anyone that you've been very good this year. :)

DIY Hot Cocoa Station & Christmas Decor Tour!

Happy Holidays!!!

I'm so excited for the holidays this year. I don't know what's got my so festive but I'm loving it and decorating is my favorite part!! I recently just took advanatage of Target's $50 off coupon on thier holiday selection and here's what I put together.

I found this tray at a garage sale and spray painted it gold with Rustoleum. The mugs and plate are from TJ Maxx. Be sure to checkout my @tjmaxxstyle IG for everything I find at TJ Maxx.

Everything else unless other wise stated is from Target ;)

This sign was in the dollar section in the front of the store. It was $3!

TJ Maxx find filled with Lindt chocolate truffles. YUM!

I added some candy canes to Santa's mug to add a little extra festiveness and also give give an awesome hair do :) Add some yummy Peppermint chocolates to the plate and that is one festive little Santa plate.

I also found this little basket in the dollar section for $3. I found a gift set of the different hot cocoa's in the Christmas section and added two of the boxes, along with the Starbuck's Instant Peppermint Mocha sachets.

This mug and glass jar were also in the dollar section, as well as the straws. I bought the stickers in the dollar section as well and just added them to the containers for an extra little touch. Add some mini marshmallows to the glass jar and it just brings the hot cocoa station to the next level of cuteness and yummyness.

The Believe sign is handmade by my friend Laura. She has an Etsy shop and her signs are adorable! They are also 15% off until Dec 31st :)
Be sure to check her signs out here: RUSTICREATIONSLR

The skis were found in the dollar section as well. The vase is from TJ Maxx and the pine cones are from Target and TJ Maxx. The white ones are from Target.

This little table is a Craigslist score, but it's from Ikea. It's the Hemnes. The clock is from Ross, spray painted gold. The bird is from Target. The jars are from TJ Maxx and so is the dish. Just add some candy and voila! A festive little candy station. You can't have Christmas without chocolate and candy canes.

These are the Cadbury Eggs but in their Christmas version. YUM!

I added the stickers from the dollar section in Target to the front of these as well.

The lamp and sign are from Target. Everything else is from TJ Maxx including the stand.

I found these stocking holders at Target last year for the kids. I found the snowflake ones this year at TJ Maxx and I belive the stockings are also from TJ Maxx.

 This beauty is from Target.

Jay made this tree for me for jewlery storage but I thought it would be perfect to store my new Starbucks ornmanents collection. I'm obsessed with these ornaments. They are so cute!

These Christms tree cones were also in the dollar section in Target. Candles are from TJ Maxx and the stand is the Hemnes from Ikea.

 These squirrels are from Ross.

The marble tree, animals, balls, wood tray, globe and runner are from Target. Dishes, lantern and vases are from TJ Maxx.

I love this globe. It plays Silent Night, which is my favorite Christmas song.

I found some little lights in the dollar section in Target and put them in the lantern :)

The reindeer lights are also from the dollar section from Target. See a pattern here. Hit the dollar section first haha!.

Ok guys! That's everything for now. I'll do an updated one once everything is finished. I have the tour over on my mommy channel so be sure to check that baby out ;)

Thank you!!
