We went and got our Christmas pictures taken last week and it was so fun getting the babies in their little snazzy red outfits. It was also nice to get dressed up myself for once haha....
I thought I would film a video of my Christmas Photo makeup for you guys, seeing as Jay was home so he hung out with our little Lily bug and Phoenix was napping. I think I will just start filming when Jay's home, that way I don't have to wait for the perfect moment where they are both asleep at the same time because that is tough to rely on :)

We always like to wear a black top with dark jeans, so that the babies stand out with their red :) I like keeping the same kind of theme, outfit wise, each year so that they all go nicely when they are up on the wall :)
So there you have it. Hope you like my makeup look!
Shelli did a great job on everything else. It was delightful.... too bad BS had to work :(

I finally have a new video up on You Tube for you guys!! Can you believe it??? It only took me 3 months haha!!! It was the perfect moment yesterday, when both of the babies were asleep at the same time, so that I could film :) Yay!!
Watch my first impressions and application here:
So I picked up a sample of the Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation & Concealer while BS and I were at the mall the other day. Here's what the actual bottles look like, incase you're wondering.
For the concealer I was: Light 16 - Light complexion with a pink undertone

Onto the foundation review:
Packaging:
I didn't actually purchase either of them, as I wanted to try them out first but I did get to take a peek in the store really quickly. It has a pump which is great for being a lot less messy. It looks rather sophisticated. So /i would say yay for packaging :)
Coverage:
This is definitely full coverage. I suppose you could do medium to full if you used a damp beauty blender and applied very little but using the Sigma F88, it was full on cover everything up baby!!! This foundation is going to be great for those of you who have acne, acne scarring, pigmentation..... basically this stuff will cover EVERYTHING!!! I'm super impressed with the coverage. It makes your skin look flawless... almost like a doll.
Finish:
It claims to be matte but I think it's more of a modern matte, where it's not super dry and cakey looking but it's not super dewy either. On me it was like a natural matte but still with a nice glow to the skin if that makes sense.... I really like the finish. It was perfect on my normal/dry skin.
Texture:
It's quite thick and very creamy. It's still obviously a liquid but it's not the super liquidy kind that drips down your hand and makes a massive mess.
Application:
This foundation is a dream to apply. It apply's so easily, blends flawlessly, doesn't dry ridiculously quickly like the regular ColorStay. This is a great foundation for people who are not the best with blending, as you really can't mess it up. It's dummy proof ;) I apply it with the Sigma F88 for full coverage. It glides on like butter and instantly starts covering all those booboos!
Wrinkle Friendliness:
I would say it was actually pretty good for wrinkles. I have such a hard time trying to find foundations that don't sit into every little wrinkle I have and I felt like this one is definitely one of the better ones for those darn things! It did sit in a little under the eyes by the end of the day but nothing major, as well as a tad in my smile lines but it wasn't bad.
Lasting Power:
AMAZING!!! I applied it at 12:30pm and at 8:30pm it looked almost the exact same as when I applied it. I feel like this would be a great foundation for anyone who needs their makeup to last all day, looking fab. The only thing I would say, is that if you are oily it may get a bit dewy looking towards the end of the day. So maybe set it or bring a powder along to touch up? I didn't have to though, as I'm dry.
Color:
There are 14 different shades and they seem to have almost every skin tone covered. I got the Light 46 and I felt like it was a great match for me.
Photo Friendly:
I took a picture with flash at night indoors and it turned out really nice. No white cast so this would be a great wedding/dance/event foundation.
Easy to Remove?
I just used my Jojoba oil and a washcloth and it came right off.
SPF: None
Scent:
It just smells like foundation to me. A bit chemically.
Price:
$34
Who's it best for?
I would recommend this foundation to normal, normal to dry, combination, combination/oily, super oily but not super dry. I feel like because it has the more matte finish, on really dry skin it may pick up and show your dry areas a bit more than you would like. For oily skin it may get a bit too dewy towards the end of the day but if you set it with a powder you might be ok. It's hard for me to say as I'm not oily. I'm normal/dry. People who want a full coverage foundation, that lasts ALL day long will love this.
Would I repurchase?
I didn't actually purchase but I am planning on it for sure. I am super impressed with it and it might possibly be my new holy grail foundation :)
