Invisalign Photo Update: Before - Tray 7!

Hi My Loves!!!

As most of you know, I have partnered up with Invisalign^® clear aligners to straighten my teeth. I'm going to do a quick photo update of the teeth up until the date that I filmed this video so that you can see for yourself the difference. It's only slight and may not be noticeable to others, but to me it's very noticeable and I feel the difference even more that what I can see. I have gaps in places I have never had before which is really cool because I know my teeth are moving. The gaps that I did have in the back of my mouth from teeth being removed are now much smaller as well.

Here's the pictures I had in my last blog post which cover through till tray 5. 

(Note in Tray 3 that my powder was terrible in flash… do NOT apply to much of the Nars Setting powder!!)

Does anyone know why Blogger automatically blurs out the pictures now? It's like it makes your skin look all blurred and perfect looking? It's a little annoying and I don't know how to fix it.

As you can see from Tray 7, I actually felt like my front teeth got more crooked with this tray. Up until Tray 7, the front left tooth had been going in and looking straighter but after tray 7 I felt like it had pulled it out a little more and then over a little. I think it's pulling the tooth out to bring it back over to fit in straighter. You will notice the left tooth next to my front left tooth is much straighter than in the first picture. It doesn't stick out nearly as much. (I'm talking about left in real life, not as your are viewing the pictures… hope that makes sense)

Either way I am still feeling more confident with my smile and each time I floss and find another gap, just makes me feel like I'm that much closer to my end goal of having straight teeth.

I'll show you a big one from before and Tray 7 as well.

Invisalign Photo Update: Tray 1-5

Hi My Loves!!!

As most of you know, I have partnered up with Invisalign^® clear aligners to straighten my teeth, which so far has been such an amazing experience. I am currently on Tray 5 and have had them on now for about 8 weeks. I didn't realize that in this short time, I would be noticing a difference, but I have definitely seen a difference in the way my teeth look and feel. I have had so many of you also mention how you can see a difference which makes it even more exciting that other people are noticing as well. 

I feel like the front left tooth has gone over slightly and my left side front tooth has gone down a lot. Also, I have a gap towards the back, which wasn't there before, so that's super exciting because that means they are moving!! Woohoo!!! I keep getting food stuck in the one that has created a gap, which is a little bit of a pain but nothing that floss doesn't get out ;) It's more exciting than annoying though, because any kind of movement I see is just one step closer to the final result of straight teeth. My bottom front teeth are super easy to floss now, which is so amazing because they were super tight before and it made flossing take so much longer. Now the floss slides right in. I have also noticed that from my profile, the front teeth don't poke out quite as sharply.

I also got my attachments on my teeth this month, which I speak a little more about in my latest update, so be sure to watch that video. They didn't hurt at all to get them put on. Just a little uncomfortable from having my mouth open while they were applied. I haven't lost any of the attachments--they warned it might happen with my wisdom teeth--but I have all of them on still. The trays have little bumps that fit right over the attachments perfectly. 

Here are some pictures of my progress so far. Let me know if you see the differences that I am talking about! While the changes are subtle, they are huge to me.

Here is the very first picture I had taken at my first consult. 

Here is a picture of my teeth right after I started Tray 5. You will be able to notice a bit more of the right front tooth in my latest picture and that right side tooth isn't poking out quite as much. YAY :) Also, in the top picture, you can really see my tooth hole (horribly embarrassing when I laughed or smiled wide) and in the bottom picture it's barely noticeable. That shows me that the teeth are moving back into that gap that was there.

 Like I said, the changes are subtle to most people, but to me, they are so massive that each day is exciting to wake up and go and check my teeth haha. It's like Christmas every day. Each time I change my tray, it's always fun because that's when I notice the most difference. Usually the first 3 to 4 days of my new tray I see the most movement and then I feel the trays become less tight on my teeth.

First Invisalign Blog Post: Before Pictures!

Hi My Loves!!!

As most of you know, I have partnered up with Invisalign^® clear aligners to straighten my teeth and I couldn't be more excited. 

In case you are not familiar with it, Invisalign is a series of virtually invisible, removable aligners that gradually move teeth over time, so hardly anyone even notices when someone is in treatment. What I'm most excited for with Invisalign, is that it discreetly straightens teeth without the hassle and look of traditional wire and bracket braces. For me, this means no interference in my professional or personal life from a mouth full of metal.

 I will be sharing my experiences and journey with all of you through videos and blog posts, so that you can see the changes and I can keep a great diary of how I'm feeling through this huge change in my life.

I had my first consultation that consisted of taking pictures of my teeth, smile and profile. I had x-rays and I also had the iTero scan which takes individual pictures of every single tooth to create a 3D image of your entire teeth/smile, without all that nasty goopy goop that makes a mold of your teeth. All together, it took about two hours for the appointment after all of the chatting with the orthodontist about my expectations, treatment, what to expect and procedures. It was very comfortable and nothing hurt or was irritating to get done with the x-rays and iTero scan.

I'm going to share a couple of the pictures of my smile and profile. You will have to excuse my greasy skin in these pictures. I swear every time I travel my skin gets so oily! So just pretend like you don't see that :) You will notice in the picture below…my delightful tooth hole. I had it removed a while ago as it couldn't be saved due to a bad break, and seeing as I was planning on getting my teeth straightened, they told me to just leave the hole as it would fill in once I straightened them. So I have been dealing with that ever since. It's not my most favorite part of my smile, but hey…why not add that to the whole shebang of crookedness going on. So this is my before. Let's hope that by the time I have finished with my treatment, my after pictures will be so fabulous that I won't ever stop smiling ;)

I'm not sure why blogger is automatically making my pictures look like I have no pores or wrinkles? Does anyone know why it does this? It looks like I use photoshop or blur something or other, which I don't… Weird!
