Golden Globes 2014 Best Dressed!

Hi My Loves!!!

Today was the Golden Globes and I was very excited to see all the stars come out with their beautiful dresses. I'm going to be sharing my 5 best dressed women of the night as well as my top picks for best dressed couples as well. This was actually really tough because there were so many beautiful dresses, so to narrow it down to 5 took me a while. I'm happy with my top 5 though ;) Let me know who your top 5 best dressed were in the comments below.

I'm also going to be sharing some tips on how to take these gorgeous ladies One of a Kind Red Carpet Style into One of a Kind daytime looks. Obviously you aren't going to wear a big fancy dress to go to work or to run errands, so I'm going to show you how to incorporate a few key pieces or inspiration ideas for your look ;)

Let's get started!

#1. Margot Robbie
Can I just say WOW! This is by far my most favorite look of the night. The hair, makeup, dress, simple accessories.... this was perfection for me. Absolutely gorgeous. She looks breathtaking and I instantly fell in love with this dress. It seemed like there was a lot of sparkle and gems tonight on the dresses with very simple but glamorous jewelry. Margot did it so elegantly. I love the slit of the dress, sexy but not too revealing and the gems under the bust and arms are the perfect touch of dazzle on this simple white dress. By keeping her hair up, it shows of the beautiful neckline of the dress and I love that she kept the makeup super simple but glowy.

To turn this look into your one of a kind daytime look, pick a cream or white blouse and pair it with some skinny jeans or black skinny pants. Choose a chunky, sparkly necklace with a lot of gems or crystals, do a simple low bun, soft makeup with a great highlight and you are good to go.

Please excuse the clothes in the background and crap lighting but I took this quickly while the kids are asleep at 10:30 at night, while I wait for the vlog to export haha! You get the idea :)

#2. Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen
What can I say about Sofia? She could wear a potato sack and she would look hot :) With that body it's hard to go wrong but I must admit this dress fit her like a glove. The bodice of it flowed so well into the bottom and I love the little sections that came out. I love the pop of color with her bold necklace against the plain black dress. The blue looked so beautiful on her skin and the sweetheart neckline is perfect on her. I noticed a lot of the sweetheart neckline today. It happens to be one of my favorites for dresses as it just creates such a feminine shape. She wore her signature bold red lip and winged liner which looks so great on her, so why change it?

To make this the perfect day time look, grab a plain black tee or blouse and some black pants. Add a bold, statement necklace with a nice bright color and that perfect red lipstick and liquid liner and Oila! Sofia Vergara, eat your heart out!

#3. Giuliana Rancic in Lorena Sarbu
I couldn't find a full length picture of her in this dress but I did snap one myself to share on Instagram and I also found a peek of her getting ready. This dress was so beautiful on her. The sheer neck with the sparkly body and huge flowy princess bottom was amazing. I loved the rich burgundy color of it, perfect for this time of year and it went so well with her hair color. I loved her bob with a bit of volume and her signature smoky eye and nude lip finished it off perfectly. Oh and that ring!!!!!! What a dazzler that was! 1.8 million on her finger must have been stressful, making sure it didn't fly off lol! I loved the shape of it, such a beautiful ring. Her body looked amazing in it and those shoes looked perfect but painful :)

My daytime look recreation:

Top: Ross // Necklace ~ Shop Lately // Flats ~ Just Fab // Rockstar Skinny Jeans ~ Old Navy

To recreate Giuliana's hair check out this hair tutorial I did back when I had short hair :) On one side just grab your flat iron and flip out the ends a tiny bit and you have a bouncy, flirty bob with a touch of fun.
For a classic smoky eye this makeup would work perfectly with any sheer burgundy blouse and a fun necklace.

#4. Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera
This dress was perfect for Taylor Swift's age. Fun, colorful but still classy and elegant. The color blocking is very flattering on her tiny frame and I love how she did the old Hollywood glamour with her hair. I love how beautifully the dress flows at the bottom. If anyone can pull off a red lip it's Taylor. She always looks so polished and put together for her young age.

For my day time look of Taylor's glam, I just switched around the colors by putting black on the bottom and red on top. Add some fun black and white flats and a bright red purse and you are looking classy but fresh :)

#5. Olivia Wilde
I know how hard it is to find clothes that look good when you have a baby bump. Especially dresses. Half the time you end up looking like you are wearing a huge Moo Moo and you look like a cow ;) Olivia Wilde nailed it with this gorgeous green, glittery fitted dress. I think if you have the body and you are all belly while pregnant, show off that bump and wear something that hugs those curves and the bump!!! It's a beautiful thang after all :) I'm partial for sparkles and glitter and I'm loving the emerald green at the moment. The colors pops with her eyes and ombre hair and her baby bump looks beautiful. This is how to wear a dress while pregnant!

If you can't find a super glittery green top, just find an emerald blouse and add a bit of bling with jewelry. Black pants, a black blazer and black flats will make this sophisticated and perfect for the office or even a date night with your one and only :)

I hope this has helped you turn Red Carpet Glamour into a wearable every day look. Please share your favorite looks of the night with me :) I'd love to know who your faves were!!
