Me and Jay made Cookies!! Oatmeal Chocolate Chip!!

So I talk about the cookies from our child birth class all the time and I asked our teacher for the recipe, which I did post on here a few days ago..... but anyway today me and Jay finally decided to make them!! We though it would be a fun bonding time on a Sunday :)

I decided to take some pictures of the process and share them with you all plus I'll put the recipe in here again too, incase you guys missed it!

These cookies are so delicious and it made soooooo many cookies, I think Jay is gonna turn into a cookie, so I gave him some to take to his friends at work tomorrow :)

Catherine’s Cookies

½ lb butter or margarine (2 sticks)
2 c. brown sugar
½ c. white sugar
2 eggs
½ c. water
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
5 c. old fashioned oats
(1)  12 ounce bag of chocolate chips
(1)  12 ounce bag of peanut butter chips

       Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
       Cream together butter and both sugars, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.  Add water and vanilla.
       Sift together flour, baking soda and salt in separate bowl.
       Add sifted dry ingredients to butter/sugar mixture (about ½ cup at a time), stirring after each addition.
       Add oats, then chocolate and peanut butter chips. (I add these ingredients a little at a time, mixing well after each addition). The dough will be very thick and dense, best if it is blended using a big spoon rather than a mixer.
       Drop cookie dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
       Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool for two minutes then remove from baking sheets and cool on wire rack.
       Store tightly covered.
       Makes at least 6 dozen.  Dough freezes well if stored in airtight container.

Happy Almost Thanksgiving :) Hope you all had an awesome weekend :)
